You were once known as the male who got rejected. The male who didn't know when to give up; the male who tried too hard.

All you wanted was to befriend the school president. However, the cold-hearted and intelligent male paid no attention to you; in fact, he ignored your "Hello!" and shoved you out of the way.

Being the tenacious person you are, you proceeded to greet him every day. His response was the same each time; a shove.

This went on for three months. You didn't know - and still don't know - what made him suddenly change; instead of the usual shove you're used to, you received a simple, "Hello."

"What are you smiling about?" his voice interjects your contemplation.

Turning to him with a lopsided grin, you heave a blissful sigh. "Just wondering but.. what made you change? What made you say 'Hello,' (C/N)?"

The school president halts his writing and leans back in the chair with his hands behind his head. "Well.. you were the only person who continued to talk to me. I thought you were extremely obnoxious though. Despite that, I thought.. hey, why not give this guy a chance? Everybody else gave up trying to talk to me."

Reposing his elbows on the pristine and wood table, he leans in. You furrow your brows, nodding your head to indicate for him to proceed. "Why are you so intrigued by me? What makes me stand out from the rest of the guys in this school?"

Promptly, you avert your gaze to the grungy bookshelves. "Somebody should clean those bookshelves; they're so dusty.."

(C/N) laughs lightly and flicks your nose playfully. "I will clean them later. Now answer the question please."

"Well.. at that time, I believed that you're something more than just a cold-hearted and intelligent person. I'll just have to dig deeper to break down the walls and reach your heart; then I'll probably be able to understand you more." An inane smile grace your face as a light laugh pass your lips. "It's cheesy I know.. but that was what I thought at that time."

"So, were you right?"

"Yeah.. you're definitely much more than a cold-hearted and intelligent person. You're (C/N); a guy who's sweet and caring. You just have a different way of showing it, is all."

Flickering your eyes to the male, you gaze at his closed eyes. He seems to be pondering over what you said.

Gazing at you through his lashes, a faint smile etches on his face. "I'm glad you said that simple word to me."

With furrowed brows, you try to recollect what you said but to no avail. "Huh?"

"Hello."
