Don't Fall for Me

Part 29: All Aliens Return to Space

I scrubbed furiously at the dark spot of soda on my shirt right above the band members' heads. I couldn't tell against the black shirt if I had gotten it all out, but that would have to do.

Shit, I was supposed to stand in line and save spots for me and Xander, not buy snacks and have to rush to the bathroom. I dashed towards the exit of the bathroom when a tall blond in skimpy clothes walked through the door. I skidded to a halt so I wouldn't knock right into her.

She grabbed my shoulders and pushed me up against the long row of sinks.

"He's mine. Stay the hell away from him," Hannah threatened.

I raised my wands and said, "Woah, there. You mean the cheating asshole, Ryker? You can have that piece of trash."

I shoved her off of me using my cast and she stumbled back a step. It took a moment for her to realize what I had said and her jaw dropped, white teeth flashing.

"What do you mean cheating?" She asked, shoulders rising.

I blew my bangs out of my eyes and said, "Eh. I guess he kissed me yesterday."

Hannah stiffened, then dropped her purse on the ground. The truth was, we'd kissed many times before. But I've also kissed Finn a few times which hadn't meant anything. I had terrible taste in guys.

"You guess?" She asked, face turning red and splotchy. Not attractive if you asked me.

I smirked.

"Don't worry. I didn't enjoy it or anything. He kind of threw himself on me and it just happened," I said nonchalantly.

She opened her mouth to say something again, but I held up my finger. I pushed off the sinks, walking towards the exit so Hannah was behind me.

"I have a movie to catch, if you don't mind," then I spun around and said, "Ask Ryker what the feather tattoo on his neck means."

Then I strode out the door with a huge smile on my face.

And walked right into Ryker.

"For the love of-"

He cut me off by shoving past me. I looked over my shoulder to see Hannah coming out of the bathroom with her eyes watering. Fake bitch.

Ryker didn't stop walking until he reached her and enveloped her in one of his comforting hugs. Yeah, I would know how they felt, but I didn't care.

Then he wiped her tears like he had done to me outside the club. And then they were kissing again. Blech.

"Keep it PG please!" I yelled, walking away.

I went back to the concession stand where two sodas, a box of candy, and a large popcorn were set off to the side. I doubted Tracey had been the one to complete my order. I tossed the rest of my cash that was still leftover from buying our tickets at the counter. With how expensive the food was at movie theaters, I wouldn't have gotten any change back anyway.

Then I juggled the snacks as best I could. Xander was just coming in the front door. Jeez, it took him a long time to find a parking spot.

"Yes, Eve!" He said when I handed him a soda and box of candy. His brown eyes were huge as we found a spot in line to wait for the movie. It started in about an hour and everyone around us was hyped.

"I can't wait," I said, jumping up and down. The popcorn in the giant bowl bounced around and some spilled on the ground. Xander lunged to catch some of it and said, "You're spilling the popcorn!"

I stopped jumping and said, "Oops."

Xander and I talked about what we predicted would happen in the movie. When they finally started checking tickets and letting people in, we cheered. I almost spilled the popcorn again.
