As I was just about to pull out of my driveway, a tap on the passenger side window made me step on the brakes. I impatiently rolled down the window, annoyed at whoever was slowing me down. I rolled my eyes as the window drew lower.

"Where are you going, Angel?"

My fist flew forward in shock and I slammed my hand on the steering wheel, making the horn blast. I jolted backwards against the seat.

"Ryker?!" I yelled, incredulously as the boy with the blue eyes who I had thought went to Florida stood smirking at me. Before I could stop him, he opened the car door and slipped inside, sitting in the passenger seat. I scrambled to turn my GPS off so he wouldn't know what I had been about to do.

But of course, Ryker was faster. He stealthily grabbed my cell phone and ran his tongue over the damn lip piercing as if he was enjoying this. Which I so wasn't.

"Aw, how cute," Ryker mocked. "You saw my note and dropped everything to come find me. I have to admit, that's pretty brave of you to drive halfway across the country without knowing the actual address I would have been staying at. You just programmed 'Florida' and were ready to go. You really are an idiot."

I snatched my phone out of his hands and tattoos flashed across my vision as his arm snaked out to grab my wrist. My eyes widened as he pulled on my arm and reached his other hand under my armpit. He easily lifted me off the driver's seat and plopped me down right in front of him. In. His. Lap.

My legs straddled him as his arms rested on my back. I squirmed in his lap, face turning bright red. I tried to look anywhere but at him. He removed one of his arms to gently put his fingers underneath my chin and lift my head up so I was looking in his eyes.

"Ryk-"

"Damn it," he growled, eyes darkening to a navy blue.

Ryker's lips crashed on to mine and I gasped. I found myself closing my eyes and kissing him back. He deepened the kiss, running his hands underneath my shirt to rest his hands just above my hips. His hands left scorching trails wherever they touched me; a completely different feeling than the cold bite of his lip piercing against my mouth.

I tangled my fingers in his black hair as we kissed for what seemed like forever. Sure, we've kissed many times before, but never like this. This was something different.

"Ew! I just felt your tongue in my mouth!" I yelled, slapping a hand over my lips as I broke the kiss.

Ryker gave me a blank look and just stared at me as we both breathed heavily. "Yeah, and?" He prompted.

"And that's gross!"

Ryker rolled his eyes and tightened his hands around my waist, dropping me back in the driver's seat. I collapsed against the head rest, processing everything that had just happened. Then, a thought occurred to me.

"Why didn't you go see your father in Florida?" I asked, suddenly. Ryker narrowed his eyebrows, staring straight ahead.

"Because that man is an asshole."

Okay...not the response I had been expecting. I decided it was best to just drop the issue in fear that it would piss him off even more.

Ryker's hand pushed on the handle of the car door and he ducked outside. For some reason, I didn't want him to leave. So without thinking, I blurted, "Ryker, is it bad if I say I've fallen in love with you?"
