"You... You do?" Rose stuttered, freezing from the snow falling around her

"Yes, I do, ever since I first layed eyes on you I have loved you. I know you don't love me but I needed to tell you, I can't hide it any longer!" Scorpius exclaimed

"I love you too" Rose whispered

"I... You what?" Scorpius asked, surprised

"I love you Scorpius Malfoy, maybe not as long as you have me but I love you" Rose replied. Scorpius saw how cold Rose was and so took of his suit coat jacket and put it on Rose. She mouthed a thank you and snuggled into Scorpius

"We.. We should probably get back before people realise we are gone" Scorpius said, he grabbed Rose's hand and led her back to the great hall, she was still wearing his jacket and she was still cuddled into him. Scorpius pulled Rose to the dance floor and they swayed to the next song and then went back to the table their friends were sitting on. Albus and Ashlee were back and they were in a happy conversation with Jacob and Pippa. Pippa was the first to notice that Scorpius and Rose were back.

"Hiya guys!" She said happily as she took a sip from her cup.

"Where did you go?" Albus asked sternly when he saw the two were back

"We were dancing" Scorpius said quickly before Rose could say anything about being outside

"No you weren't, we were on the dance floor, we didn't see you anyway" Albus asked

"Why do you care so much Albus?" Scorpius asked

"Because I promised to protect Rose" Albus said and then she noticed the jacket round Rose's shoulders "Why are you wearing Scorpius' jacket Rose?" 

"We went outside for a bit okay Al? Nothing to worry about, we were just chatting" Rose stopped herself before she gave anything away, it was obvious that Scorpius didn't want her to tell

"Oh, okay, that explains it, come on Ash, lets dance again" Albus said, pulling Ashlee up from the table

"What's up with him?" Rose asked when Albus and Ashlee were gone

"He just got a bit scared when he couldn't find you, that's all, and he promised to keep you safe so..." Jacob explained

"He never promised to keep me safe, the only thing he promised was to make sure my Dad didn't find out about something, but that doesn't matter now anyway" Rose snapped

"Hey hey Rosie" Scorpius soothed "Don't worry about him, there is no reason to get angry with him." he said as he gave her a quick hug

"Are you two?" Jacob said whilst pointing to the both of the motion that they were a couple

"Uh, I guess so" Rose said, and turned to Scorpius before whispered "are you okay with that?"

"Love it Rosie" Scorpius whispered back "Yes Jacob, we are"

"I told you Scorp" Jacob said laughing

"Yes, you did" Scorpius said

"Told you what?" Rose asked

"It doesn't matter" Jacob said, "maybe you'll find out some other time"
