Chapter 15

Rose sat on the hill to the ditch outside kings-cross station with her trunk and owl next to her crying. Where she was slapped stung like mad. 'No-one has come to find me' she thought to herself as she cried 'no-one cares for me, I would think Mum or Al or Scorp would come find me, I thought they all cared for me... And Al said he would stich with me if Dad found out, or to make Dad not find out untill he's ready, but he didn't want to do that did he?' She thought and this made her cry harder. She didn't hear the footseps behind her

"Now now girlie" A voice said that Rose didn't recognise "There's no need to cry"

"Yes there is" Rose sobbed 

"Look at me" The mysterious voice replied. Rose wiped the tears from her eyes and looked up. A tall man stod behind her. He had messy brown hair and kind brown eyes.

"W-What's your name?" Rose asked

"Dudley, Dudley Dursley" The man replied "You?"

"Rose Weasley" Rose replied, she recognised the man's name, but she couldn't place it "Do I know you?" 

"I don't think so" Dudley replied, then he took a good look at Rose and notice the owl and the trunk sitting beside her, "Wait a minute, do you know Harry Potter?" 

"Of course I do, he's my Uncle" Rose stated

"W-What?" Dudley replied in disbelief

"Harry Potter's my Uncle, so of course I know him" Rose explained as if that was obvious. Dudley sat down beside her

"So how come I have never heard of you then?" Dudley asked

"What? How do you know Uncle Harry?" Rose asked, confused

"Your Uncle Harry is my cousin" Dudley stated

"Wh-" Rose started, but someone behind them cut her off

"ROSE!" the voice shouted happily. Rose recognised the voice immediately. She got up and turned around and saw that she was right. She ran up to him and hugged him

"Scorp!" She exclaimed "I didn't think anyone was coming to find me!" 

"Of course I would! I was the first person to go look for you, but I think all of your family, my Grandma, your friends and their family are looking for you now" Scorpius explained

"What, including Dad?" Rose asked

"Yeah, including your Dad" Scorpius answered

"So, who's this?" Dudley piped up "Another one of Harry's nephews I haven't been told about? Harry said he told me all about his family, I didn't get told about you Rose so there must be others" 

"Who's this?" Scorpius asked 

"Scorp, this is Dudley Dursley, he is Uncle Harry's cousin. And Mr. Dursley, this is Scorpius Malfoy, he isn't related to Uncle Harry, he's my boyfriend... So you wouldn't be told about him" Rose explained

"Malfoy? I've heard that name before, I didn't think Harry liked someone with that name" Dudley said

"My Father" Scorpius replied "Mr. Potter and Father didn't get along very well, and the only reason you met Rose, I think, is because she ran out here because her father slapped her when he found out that we are dating"

"Dad and Mr. Malfoy are enemies, and Dad was furious" Rose explained

"But your Dad was okay with this?" Dudley asked Scorpius "If your Dad and her Dad are not friends and her Dad was so furious he slapped her what was your Dad like?"

"Well, Father wasn't there, neither was Mother, it was Grandma who was picking me up from the station, as I am going to her house this until Mother and Father get back from their holiday, and I had told Grandma about me and Rose, so she was fine with it, I haven't told Father yet" Scorpius explained. Rose sat back down next to Dudley and Scorpius sat next to her.

"Oh okay then, so.. Are both of you.. uh.. like Harry? Ya know... magical?" Dudley asked, not wanting to say the word

"Yes, are you?" Rose replied

"No" Dudley answered, slightly ashamed

"Do you have magical parents then? Is that how you know about it?" Scorpius asked

"No" Dudley answered again

"Then how do you know about it then?" Scorpius asked 

"When Harry got his letter to Hogwarts, he didn't know about it, neither did I. Harry was living with us, because we looked after him ever since his parent were -uh- killed. Dad made us run away basically, Dad knew about all the magic stuff 'cause someone called Dumbledore had written a letter explaining it. Dad didn't want Harry using magic, he thought it was bad stuff, so he made us move so Harry wouldn't have to go, but some giant man -" Dudley was cut off

"Hagrid?" Rose asked

"Yeah, something like that. So this giant man came and took Harry and took him to this Magical place and we only ever saw Harry in the summer holidays after that, and he practically always had nightmares, I remember he used to talk in his sleep about some Cedric person" Dudley continued

"Cedric Diggory!" Rose exclaimed, "he died in Uncle Harry's fourth year, Harry was quite upset really, he sometimes tells us the stories, so do Mum and Dad" 

"I'm not surprised really, his dreams were usually about this Dark Lord person, Mouldywart or something. Stupid name if you ask me, me and my parents had to go into hiding so he wouldn't kill us or something, Mum and Dad didn't believe it but I had encountered something called a dementor, I think, and that was scary especially because I couldn't see it, and Harry said this Mouldywart person was worse" Dudley gave a questioning look to Rose and Scorpius who had broke out into fits of laughter the second time he had said 'Mouldywart' "Why are you laughing?" he asked

"It's not Mouldywart!" Rose tried to say between laughs "It's Voldemort!" 

"Although" Scorpius laughed "Mouldywart is a good way to make a joke outa this! We have got to tell everyone that!" 

"Yeah!" Rose agreed

"Oh yeah, Voldemort, that's it, I did think that Mouldywart was a stupid name if he was supposed to be evil, the most powerful dark wizard or something like that." Dudley laughed along with them "Look Rose, Scorpius, I have to go now, I was on my way home and my wife will wonder if I am too late home, but here's my number, if you want to talk call me, you do know how to use a phone right?" Dudley asked

"Yeah, Mum's muggle born so she and Uncle Harry taught everyone how to in case of an emergency" Rose answered

"Okay Rose, goodbye! Goodbye Scorpius too" Dudley waved as he got in his car and drove off

"What's a phone?" Scorpius asked

"Don't worry, I'll tell you another day" Rose replied 

"Rose, I don't want you being with your Dad, not after he slapped you, come to Grandma's house with me, she told me you could come before I went looking for you, will you come? Please Rose?" Scorpius asked

"Of course I'll come! I don't really want to be with Dad, but I have to let Mum know, I won't tell Dad though" Rose replied.

"Not now Rose, your Dad might see you and you won't be able to come, I'll go and get Grandma now so we can go, stay here, behind the bush in case anyone comes out" Scorpius explained

"Tell Albus where I am, please?" Rose asked, Scorpius nodded and ran into the station. Rose hid behind the bush with all of her stuff waiting for Scorpius and Narcissa to come out.
