Chapter 36

Rose walked into the common room slowly, trying to wipe the tears away from her eyes. Everybody had gone to bed except Caia, Aofie and Albus, who were sitting on the sofa in the middle of the room in silence waiting for Rose to come back. When Rose walked in with a tear stained face they all  looked up to her without saying anything

"You could have killed him!" Rose exclaimed in anger, she walked straight past all of them without saying anything else.

Aofie followed Rose into the girl's dormitory, repeatedly saying sorry for hurting him

"I'm sorry Rose!" Aofie said

"Sorry doesn't work any more! From anyone!" Rose got straight into her bed and pulled the curtains around her shut. Caia walked in and Albus walked in behind her

"You're not allowed in here Al" Rose whispered "I don't want you in here now so go" Albus sighed but turned around and exited the room

"I'll be in the common room if you want me" Albus said before closing the door

"Rose, you've got to believe that what Aofie and Albus did to Malfoy was best for him, he really hurt you, he deserved it, don't you see? You should be happy, you got revenge" Caia explained

"I don't believe in revenge" Rose whispered, laying down in her bed but not going to sleep or opening her curtains

"Yes you do, the amount of times you have wanted revenge from Fred or James doing some prank on you and asked us to help" Aofie exclaimed, trying to laugh.

"Just lay off Fi, she's not in a good mood" Caia said, Aofie sighed in response and then turned around and walked up to the common room with Albus "I'm sorry Ro" 

"I have heard too many people say sorry, I don't even know what it means any more" Rose sighed, crying silently

"I'm sorry- I mean, what did Malfoy say to you?" 

"I rescued him, I made sure Madam Hilende got to him and made him better, I saved his life... Not even a thank you. Then he said he was forced into cheating on me, but he doesn't love me any more, he loves her" Rose  wiped a tear away from her eye "He said sorry, I don't think he knows I heard. But he has said it too much, he has no use for the word any more, it doesn't mean anything, he's not really sorry"

"He's a jerk, you should have left him to die" Caia spat, she was very angry with Scorpius

"I couldn't do that. I... I still love him, even if he doesn't love me" 

"You need to get over him Rose, he's a jerk, I am sure he never really loved you, he was just playing you"

"SHUT UP" Rose screamed "JUST SHUT UP! LEAVE ME ALONE CAIA!"

"If you wish" Caia walked out of the common room but as she reached the door she whispered "I was only trying to help you"

After Caia closed the door Rose whispered "Well it didn't help" and rolled onto her side and fell asleep
