As the day passed, we finally reached the last lesson. Pheobe and I were walking out of the math class, on our way down the hall.

“But he was staring at you the whole class! I can’t believe you didn’t noticed..” Pheope sighted, shaking her head. I just laughed at her.

“Well I didn’t… Compared to you I was actually listening to Mr. Justé.” Mr. Justé was our math teacher. Maybe he was becoming old and grey, but he had that twinkle in his eyes.

“Ugh, I can’t stand math. It’s only facts, facts, facts and… well, facts. No emotions, feelings… just cold numbers on a white paper.” Pheobe complained, throwing her hand careless in the air.

Yup, that’s Pheope. I giggled and looked at her. The blond hair hanging loose, and the vintage cloths covering her elegant body. She wasn’t ugly, she was.. different.

“Uh look who’s coming in your direction.” Pheobe quietly sang, smiling like an idiot.

“Oh shut up.” I mumbled, lightly blushing.

“Hey Christine!” Elliott smiled, making his way over to me.

“See you later.” Pheobe whispered, before quickly turning around, walking away.

“Hey Elliott.” I said, trying to forget Pheobe’s comment about him starring at me.

“You’re having physics now?” Elliott asked, tilting his head.

“Unfortunately.. yes.” I sighted, looking down at my math books.

“It’s not that bad.” He laughed, gently pushing to my arm whit his elbow, before we together walked down the hall.

“You’re only saying that because you’re a genius at… yeah, every subject in school.”  I smiled, looking at him. He shy wrinkled his nose, looking away.

”So Christine..” Elliott cleared his throat, looking down at the floor, as we continued to walk down the hall. I looked at him. Why was he suddenly so shy?

“I was wondering-“ bump.

“Ouch! Ey man, what are you doing?” Elliott winced, as he bumped into an unfamiliar body. We both froze, as we saw who it was.

The Norths.

“Are you talking to me?” The boy Elliott had bumped into said, as he turned around to face him.

“Uh- I- uhm.” Elliott stuttered, nervously trying not make eye contact with the boy.

“Lets go Elliott.” I sighed, pulling his arm, trying to walk past the boy and his friends.

“The lady got the balls.” One of the boys joked, making the others laugh. I rolled my eyes, trying to avoid them.

“Ey, ey, ey wait a second.” The boy suddenly said, pulling me back in front of him. My heart skipped a beat, as I suddenly stood in the middle of three senior boys.

And it what not those cute senior boys, you have a secret crush on. I knew who The Norths was, I had seen them lots of times. But they were those, you would avoid by making yourself invisible.

“Yeah, you can leave now, Elly.” The boy said to Elliott, not even looking at him. I shot Elliott a quick glare, telling him that it was okay.

“Are you Christine Dion?” The boy suddenly spoke, lifting his eyebrows.

“Last time I checked.” I mumbled, looking down at my books, from the math lesson.

“Edwards. Gabriel Edwards.” The boy smirked, checking me out.

I rolled my eyes. Boys.

“Can you help me with some math? Today after school.”

I lifted my eyebrows. What the hell. One of the members of North just asked me to help him.

“Why me?” I asked. Seriously Christine? I thought to myself. I was prepared to getting beat up, but instead Gabriel just smiled. He shrugged his shoulders, before answering,

“Heard you’re a little genius so,” He moved a little closer,

“Are you interested?” I blushed, looking down at the floor.

“Okay.” I finally said, nodding my head.

“Cool, meet me out at the parking lot after school, and we’ll drive to my place.” He said, moving to the side, finally letting me go. I smiled to him and started to walk.

“See you later Christine.” He said, turning around, staring at me as I walked away.

……..30 mins later……..

“You said yes to WHAT?” Emma whisper shouted, her eyes wide open.

“Christy, are you crazy?” Coraline added, shaking her head.

“Gabriel Edwards is a part of The Norths! Only God knows what they’re doing.” She continued.

“Shhh! Oh come on girls..” I whispered. The last thing I needed was them making me more nervous, than necessary.

“The North is a gang of criminals, they shoot innocent people and do bad stuff. They’re insane! You shouldn’t get entangled in that.” Coraline ended, looking at Emma for some support.

“And they’re wearing leather jackets.” Emma said and nodded, before bursting out in laughter.

“It’s not funny!” Coraline giggled, trying not to laugh with us.

“Girls, what’s so funny about the periodic system?” Mr. Bark asked, looking directly at us, with Elliott beside him.

“Uhm, Professor, if Hydrogens electron..” Elliott started, taking away Bark’s attention from us. I shot Elliott a quick smile, even though I knew he wouldn’t see it.

“So he’s coming home to you? You’re parents are never going to allow a type, like him, coming into their house..” Emma said, tilting her head.

“No, no.. We’re going to his place.” I sighed.

“Don’t worry, if you’re not back monday, I’ll go to the police.” Coraline joked, gently pushing to my shoulder.

“Thanks..” I mumbled with a laugh.

“Don’t you think it’s just a little weird?” Emma suddenly said, furrowing her eyebrows.

“What do you mean?” I mumbled, trying to focus on the book, I had in front of me.

“You barely know who he is! And now he suddenly comes, and want your help… with math?” She ended, nervously looking at Coraline.

I looked up at them. Maybe they were right? Was this completely insane?

“Ok, if I haven’t texted you before midnight,” I whispered, probably sounding mentally ill, “Call the police.” I ended. I said it most in fun, but a part of me was serious.

Suddenly the bell rang, making me jump a little. Fuck. It was now. I looked at the others who quickly packed away their books, and disappeared out of the classroom. I took a deep breath, before getting up from the chair, following Emma and Coraline out of the room. We walked to our lockers, throwing the books into them. After closing and locking my locker, number 15, I leaned myself up against it. What if they were right? Maybe it was dangerous? No, come on.

“Chisty?” I heard Emma’s voice; she was staring directly at me, sympathetic, but worried.

“I’m ok, I’m ok..” I giggled, by her cuteness, walking beside her down the hall, and out to the parking lot.

There’s no reason to be afraid, I thought to myself as we walked down the stairs. It was just some homework help, for a boy. “They shoot innocent people..” Coraline’s voice rang in my ears. I shook my head, stopping up.

“See you on Monday.” I said, turning to Emma, giving her a hug.

“See you.” She said before pulling away.

“Where are you supposed to meet-“ Emma started, but was cut off by the loud noise of motorbikes.
