CHAPTER 27 - Official First Date

ASH'S P.O.V

As I was about to leave the house, Mum yelled, "Do you smell good for your date?!"

I immediately sweatdropped upon hearing her question. "Of course I am! I'm going now!" I shouted back before I closed the door. Finally, Serena and I are having our first official date. I couldn't be more excited for a day, ever. I instantly thought to all the kisses, hugs and affection there would be today. But the most important thing to me was: her smile. That's what I want to see on her face for the whole day.

Today, I didn't want our date to be super fancy, so I told Serena that we should just wear our normal day clothes.

As I reached her front gate, I mentally prepared myself for one of the best days in my entire life. Today will be action packed, filled with joy, laughs and smiles. Definitely a lot of kissing too.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

I waited for a bit before I heard some faint footsteps run down the stairs.

"Hey Ash!" Serena smiled as she opened the door.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" I excitedly asked.

"Not yet, I just need to dry my hair. You can go wait in my room," she replied. I nodded before entering the house. Grace was sitting on the sofa, watching some chick show.

"Hi Grace," I greeted. The woman turned around and smiled as she saw me.

"Oh hello Ash. Have fun with my little bubby today," she smiled.

"MUM! I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT! EVER!" Serena embarrassedly shouted. I couldn't help but laugh at their motherly-daughter relationship.

"Don't worry Grace, I'll have heaps of fun with your 'little bubby' today," I chuckled. I noticed that Serena shot a venomous glare at me.

"I'm just going to dry my hair. C'mon Ash, you can wait in my room," she sighed. I followed her up the stairs and turned into her room, whereas she turned into the bathroom.

I plopped myself onto her bed to notice what Serena did with her relationship starter gifts. She tied the ribbon into a bow tie, around the little Teddiursa. I couldn't help but widely smile.

As she entered the room, her honey-blonde hair whipped around her shoulders. I watched the hair swing around as if it was in slow motion. The hair was glistening as it was just freshly dried and it felt so majestic.

"Ash?" Serena said, snapping me into reality.

"Are you okay? I called your name like 3 times," she stated, making me sweatdrop.

"Yeah let's go now," I responded, offering my right hand. She took it before we walked outside.

"Bye Mum!" Serena said.

"You kids have fun," Grace winked as we left the house.

"Where are we going?" Serena excitedly asked.

"I can only tell you one thing. And that is our date will be in Lumiose City. So let's get going," I replied. Her face immediately lit up, hearing what I just said.

"Here we are!" I yelled as we passed through the gateway.

"It's been a while since I've been to Lumiose City. I love it," Serena remarked before I rummaged through my bag, taking out a sash.

"Okay, to make this more of a surprise, you have to blindfold yourself," I said, handing her the blindfold before she put it on.

"To make sure it's on, how many fingers am I holding up?" I asked, holding up 3 fingers.
