Kristie was lying on top of Stephanie. Both girls were naked, totally out of breathe after the wild morning they had.

The blonde kissed the other girl's lips.

"Are you hungry ?" she asked.

"I think I've eaten enough for three months" Steph said, playfully raising her eyebrows.

"Gross" she let out, laughing. "I was talking about actual food."

That made Steph smile.

"Are you asking me that because you are the one hungry ?" she asked.

That made Kristie giggle. They knew each other so well now. Steph couldn't think about anyone else whenever Kristie was next to her, or even mentioned in a discussion. She knew the blonde's body better than she knew hers. And that was quite creepy, actually.

Steph caressed the hollow of Kristie's back.

"Maybe ?" the blonde answered.

That caused her friend to roll her eyes. "You're lucky I love you. C'mon, get dressed. Lunch is in five."

"I love you" Kristi said, pecking her lips.

The two girls reluctantly got up and got dressed.

Karen O'Hara was looking at the dresses in front of her.

Today, she wanted hr daughter and her 'girlfriend' to try some dresses on for the wedding, that would take place in a few days now. Allie wasn't very happy with this, especially since her and Kelley didn't talk for a very long time. While Kelley was trying her dress on, her mother was just kindly smiling at the middy, since they had to wait because there only was one cabin.

"I find it funny how different Kelley is when she's with you" the woman said.

That caused Allie to frown. "How's that ?"

"I don't really know... It's all body  language. She seems so much more... outgoing whenever you're around. And she smiles more." Karen explained, trying to think about something else to say. "I'm really happy she found you."

"Mmh" Allie just let out.

"You know, my daughter can be a real pain in the ass sometimes" she went on, trying not to look too emotional. "But she really cares about you. I observed you two on the way here. She looks at you like you were a national treasure."

"Does she ?" Allie asked, confused.

Why do you ask anyway ? She betrayed you. The blonde nervously shook her head. She hated intern debates. But she lied because she didn't want to hurt you. She knew it was the truth, but she pushed that though away.

"I can assure you she does" Karen said. "I've never seen her so in love with someone before. I don't think she'll ever be able to love somebody else. At least that's what she told me when I came to visit her last week."

Allie's heart began to beat faster. That was exactly how she felt.

Their conversation was interrupted by Kelley, who went out of the cabin. Her dress was beautiful, and Kelley was even more beautiful. Allie got up, truly speechless. Kelley caught eyes with her, while Karen was talking for five full minutes about how perfect that dress was and everything.

Kelley shyly smiled at her ex-girlfriend.

"What do you think ?" she asked hesitantly.

"You look... Perfect." Allie said.

She wasn't sure why, but Kelley thought Allie's eyes were filled with... passion ? And maybe pride to be hers ? But she wasn't hers anymore. Kelley wished she was, but she wasn't. This is too confusing

Karen told her to get changed, so that Allie could try her dress as well. Both women sat down on their chairs, while Karen was staring at the blonde.

"Allie ?"

"Uhm ?"

"Do you love my daughter ?"

Allie frowned. Do I love Kelley ? The answer that came out of her mouth were the most honest words she's ever said.

"I love her more than words can express."

Karen smiled, an lowered her voice. "I have something to give you, then." She then thought for a minute. "You'll ask her the big question one day, right ?"

The midfielder felt her heart racing. "Yes, one day." Those words came out of her mouth without her really wanting them too. Karen's eyes lightened.

She then got a small box out of her jacket. It was a black box. When Karen opened it, Allie's breath was taken away for the second time this day. It was a beautiful ring. A diamond was on the top of a white golden ring. It was the most beautiful ring Allie's never seen. Just as beautiful as Kelley was.

"It's a family legacy" Karen explained, placing the small box on Allie's hand. "Her great-grand-father made it for his wife. The tradition is that every oldest girl of the family has got to have it when they get married. Since my other daughter... passed away, Kelley is the next in line." The midfielder was speechless. Karen noticed it and closed the box, squeezing her hands a little bit more. "You deserve to be the one giving it to her."

"But is Dan... Okay with this ?" Allie asked, concerned about Kelley's dad reaction.

"He actually was the one suggesting it in the first place" Karen said. "Take it. My daughter loves you more than anything. You deserve you place on the family."

A tear was running down Allie's eyes. I want to marry her. I want to make her mine. But what if I can't forgive her ? Her thoughts were running on her mind, as she was putting the black box in her jacket anyway. Bullshit. You still love her, no matter what stupid things you try to make yourself believe. Allie sighed : she was stuck with Kelley forever. At least her heart was.

She gave Karen a thankful look. When Kelley finally went out of the cabin, Allie quickly wiped her tears and went inside as well. Kelley looked at her, frowning. She had no idea why she was crying. So she decided to go and check on her.

"Al ?" she asked just outside the cabin.

A cold hand grabbed her arm and pulled her inside. She stared into Kelley's eyes with hesitation, before pulling her into a tight hug. Kelley immediately responded by wrapping her arms around Allie's hips.

"Are you okay ?" Kelly softly asked, concerned. "What did she tell you ?"

"She didn't say anything" Allie lied, burying her face on Kelley's neck. "She just made me realize how much you mean for me."

"I'm sorry I fucked up" Kelley said, bursting into tears. "I love you. You're the most valuable person to me, and-"

"Don't" Allie said, putting her fingers on Kelley's lips. She then stared at them intensively. "That doesn't mean I forgive you. But maybe I'll consider giving you a second chance, just like you gave me one years ago."

Kelley sighed out of relief. "I'll try my best being worth it" she then promised.

"Now, get out of here. Your mom is waiting." Allie ordered.

Kelley nodded, before going out of the cabin, a big smile on her face. A small step for Humanity, but a big step for Kelley
