You peered out of the window, peering out at the gloomy city of Sanguinem below you. The tatty rags you donned shredded a little as they caught on the jagged edges of the windowsill, and you let out a sharp sigh, turning your back to the unreachable world around you, retreating to the chair in the centre of the room.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Daily blood delivery!" Came the cheerful voice of Ferid Bathory, as the bolts on the door unlocked and the very man who imprisoned you stepped in, plaited haired companion in tow. "So tell me, are you happy here, Y/N?" He asked, as he sauntered up to you, handing you a champagne glass of red blood. You greedily tipped it down your throat, before handing him your glass.
"I don't understand why you keep me here." You growled, yearning for more blood.
"You know full well why I keep you here! You're a smart girl." Ferid tutted, turning on his heel and walking away.
"Will you at least unshackle these damned chains?" You asked Crowley, and he shook his head.
"Not unless Ferid says so." He responded, following Ferid out the door. You watched with a dejected expression as the doors closed back up again.

"Y/N, run." Krul croaked as you tried to free her from Ferid's grasp.
"But, my lady? Why?" You sobbed, shocked when she turned an icy cold glare on you.
"Run away from here. Quickly!" She ordered, and you let out another sob as you fled.

It had been a year since that day, the last day you saw Krul Tepes. You had only knew her for a short time, but that short time had been enough to make your life worth living, and it had been enough to satisfy you, even if you selfishly wanted more of those happy days.

You rubbed at the mark the shackles had left you, peering at them as they restricted your movement.  You had shackles around your ankles and your wrists, that stretched to separate corners of the room. They were the thing that further bonded you to the tall circular tower Ferid had crammed you inside. You was a Vampire noble, and in Ferid's "take down" stage of his claim the throne plan, he locked you up like rapunzel. And although you never really had much distaste for children's tales, you could now clarify one thing. Rapunzel sucked.

"A-a-ah! Where do you think you're going?" Tutted Ferid.
"Away from you!" You yelled, doing a flip over him in a lousy and very uncoordinated attempt at fleeing from him. Unfortunately for you and your even more uncomfortable landing, a large hand snagged your arm, and you strained your head to see Crowley with an unamused expression.
"That's enough of that gymnastics show for one day. You're now the only thing standing in between us and Ferid's goal, so stop taking liberties and settle down." He ordered, pulling you up and trapping your hand behind your back. You let out a strangled yelp.

As the night encased you and the tower, you closed your eyes, remembering the day when Ferid and Crowley had managed to capture you. You didn't know what the world had gone to since that day, but you could only guess it had gone to shit.
"Hello? Anybody? Help me!" Came the voice of a female from outside, and your eyes snapped open. You hurried to the edge of the tower, practically throwing yourself out the window to see who it was. Ferid and Crowley had been the only other people you had seen in a long time, so long you was practically beginning to forget what female's sounded and looked like. You didn't even know what YOU looked like, only that your white noble uniform had been swapped for some tatty brown rags, and your hair had grew bushy and long.

Ferid's hand stroked your cheek as he pulled you closer to him.
"Finally~" He hummed, tieing a red ribbon around your wrists in a horrible attempt at shackling you.
"Please stop this." You sobbed, tears dropping down your muddy face.
"Thank you for finally giving up. You never know, I might even let you see Krul as a reward." He whispered, pulling you after him.

As usual, he didn't stick true to his word, so when you eagerly peered out the window to see Krul Tepes leaning against the wall of the tower, you was overcome with surprise.
"Krul!"
"Y/N?" Her eyes snapped up to yours.
"Krul! Please, I can't stay up here any longer! I miss you! I love you!" Random words came flowing out of your mouth and she nodded.
"I'll save you, Y/N! Let down your hair!" She yelled, laughing a little. You laughed, years straining your face as you threw yourself out of the window. The chains were long, so you managed to get at least halfway down the tower before they stopped you. Krul climbed up the rest of the way, breaking your chains and hitting the ground with you in her arms.
"I'll don't have hair THAT long, but chains will do." You laughed, and she smiled.
"Let's run away together, we can't stay here any longer, my Rapunzel."
