Chapter 29


"Jiyong... I... Can explain."

Without a word of reply, he fled out the door with such speed I could barely think of the next phrase.

Don't go.

This is all just a misunderstanding.

I felt too ashamed to chase after him. His face showed too much emotion for me to handle.

There's no way I can explain this to him without hurting him.

I looked around the now lite room and saw the beautiful flowers arranged in gorgeous decorative ways.

Roses by the hundred.

And 20 on the floor.

I bent down to pick up the bundle and read the card inside it.

'I love you, Celia Roselia.'

A tear trailed down my cheek followed by many more.

I love you too... Jiyong.

It only took a kiss from the wrong guy to fully strengthen that statement.

I truly love Jiyong.

Then all of a sudden it hits me.

I know what to say to him.

I was confused, and now it's all clear.

I just need to chase after him...

When I got out to the parking lot, I realized he was long gone.

No...

He needs to know.

He needs to know I love him before he disappears on me once again.

He can't leave me like he did several days ago, something tells he won't be back again!

The next morning, I felt a bit awkward when I entered Louie's office.

"Good morning beautiful, did you enjoy yesterday?" Louie's smug face made me nervous as I struggled for a reply.

"Well, Louie, I think we should..."

"Become official?"

"No..."

"Become secret lovers?"

"What? No!"

"Become fiancées?"

"NO!... Look, we need to talk." I sat down in front of his desk as he stared at me in amusement.

"Did something happen sweetie?"

"Don't... Call me that. We're not together."

"What do you mean? Of course we are!" Louie spun his laptop around for me to reveal an article in Korean. I had a confused face on the whole time before seeing a photo of us together.

"How did..."

"Fans recognized us together and this gossip is titled 'Celia Roselia's boyfriend revealed!'"

"But I don't have a boyfriend!"

"You do now!" Louie chuckled and sat back in his chair in delight. "I'm so happy you're my girlfriend Celia!"

"No! I'm not!" I stood up in anger and Louie stopped smiling. "I love Jiyong!"

Louie's jaw clutched and he snorted irritatedly.

"Why? He's just another plastic created by Korea for money and entertainment."

I was shocked by Louie's change of attitude and retained my urge to slap him.

"Jiyong is famous for his talent! He's not like SM idols at all!" My voice rose and I stormed out the room. Louie followed quickly and held me back in his arms.

"I'm sorry Celia, but I can't let you leave."

"... Why not?"

"Because..."

Silence went by as I got more and more suspicious.

What was Louie stopping me for?

Maybe... From seeing Jiyong?

"Please Louie, I want to see him." I turned around to met Louie's frowning face.

"Aren't I just as good as him?"

Louie is gorgeous, but in no way as attractive as Jiyong.

"I'm sorry." I pushed him away and continued my run.

Louie didn't stop me and I felt kind of bad.

Louie is a great guy, but I got a hunch that he wasn't telling me something important.

Beeeep.

I took out my phone to see Louie had texted me when I just got outside the SM building.

[Jiyong is at the national airport... Be back soon okay?]

My eyes widened and I looked up at the big window that belonged to Louie's office. Sure enough, his silhouette was behind the glass.

[Thanks... I will.]


When I arrived at the airport by taxi, I found no crowds of any sort.

I entered the rather empty place and spotted some YG workers lining up behind the metal detectors.

I dashed towards them and asked them in my terrible Korean where Jiyong was. They pointed at a figure who was walking casually far up front.

"Jiyong!" I yelled as loud as I could at the familiar boy.

He turned around to reveal himself in a regular disguised outfit as he glanced around confused at the call of his name.

He was too far away past the security that stopped me from entering the current check point.

One of the YG workers passed the metal detector ran up to Jiyong and pointed at me.

Jiyong slowly removed his sunglasses and inched his way closer.

"Hey! Over here!" I waved and smiled.

He froze when his eyes met mine.

Then he turned on his heels and rushed away with the speed he had yesterday night.

My heart winced and I texted him.

[Jiyong wait!]

He got on a conveyor belt that doubled his pace.

I called him and heard his ringtone from all the way here.

I painfully watched his form slowly got smaller and smaller.

A good 5 minutes gone by and I still stood there in disbelief.

Beeeeep.

[I need to be alone.]


That was the last thing he said to me before leaving me in guilty pain for the next 2 months.
