Chapter 28

I miss Celia.

I miss her so so much!

It's been weeks since I saw her, I can already feel my soul slipping away from the lack of contact.

How has she been?

Is she still avoiding me?

Does she still love me?

I need to know.

I'm dying...

But it's going to be alright, my flight back to Seoul will arrive in a couple of hours. I can't wait.

I thought up an ingenious way to surprise Celia when I get back.

It would make her love me again and it would solve all the problems that we've been going through.

I was extremely busy these few weeks. All the traveling for photo shoots and promotions had stressed me out so much to the point suicide.

But the endless thoughts about my girl brought me back to life each time.

Only she can make me genuinely smile, I must see her tonight when I get back.

I knew showing up at her apartment uninvited would be a bad idea, but I wanted her to find out that this place was originally mine.

So that maybe we could share it someday...

Well, right now, I'm just sneaking around planting flowers everywhere around the house.

It was 9pm and Celia would be back in an hour, so I decorated the place with 100 roses to gave off the romantic scenery.

I held a bundle of 20 flowers in my hand and patiently waited till 10:30pm.

...

Where is she?

I waited 2 more hours yet she never showed up.

Fearful of her getting into trouble, I took out my phone and started dialing her number. I paused when I heard the door open.

The lights were off and I hid behind a wall ready to jump out.

But the lights never flickered on.

I slowly peeked to see the living room and froze at the sight before me.

At the door, there were two familiar figures: Louie and Celia.

They were...

Kissing.

Their forms were dim, and the only light source was the moonlight pouring from the clear glass windows.

They seemed intimate.

No. They are intimate.

I can't look away.

My body had completely became a statue, and I felt it cracking as each second painfully gone by.

Just like my heart.

It was shattered when they released each other after another peck.

They're happy.

And I'm not.

When Louie left, he caught my eye and he smirked triumphantly.

He had won.

As Celia turned her back on me, my body slipping out of control.

The bundle of 20 flowers hit the ground with a thump, and I walked closer to my lost lover.

She flickered on the lights and gasped.

I would too.

Because for a second, I could see her ghostly face looking at my ghostly form.

I had died.

On the inside.
