Logan's Point of View (POV)

"Why are you doing this to yourself, mate?  Why would you put yourself through this sham of a marriage when we both damn well know this is NOT the girl you're meant to be with" Colin said to Logan, sitting in a chair in Logan's London apartment.

"There's nothing I can do, man.  It's not like I have any other choice in the matter" Logan insisted.

"That's bullshit and you damn well know it.  You're the ONLY one with any choice in the matter" Robert pointed out, plopping down on the couch.

"What you need to do, is call this whole sodding thing off, take your finger out of your arse, buck up and go back to that amazing beaut you let get away.  Again" Finn mapped out.

Logan stared at him blankly for a minute, processing the Australian to American translations in his head, and then he sighed.  Truth was, he was so mad at himself for letting Rory leave that morning, but it was best for her.  He couldn't give her the things she deserved in life, all because of his family and their stupid plan.  He decided it would be better for her if he just let her end it, to let her move on and try to be happy without him.  It was the most noble thing he could think to do, no matter how miserable it would make him in the process.

"She was the one who left, you know" Logan reminded his three best friends, trying not to let them know how much he missed her.

"Yeah, but did it ever occur to you that it was only because you didn't ask her to stay?" Robert pointed out.

"What are you talking about, Robert?" Logan asked.

"He's right, mate.  She didn't want to say goodbye.  You could see it in her eyes.  She only did it because she felt there was no other way.  She wanted you to fight for her, you wally!  Not just sit there and do jack shit as the love of your life walks away - again" Finn said.

"Fight for her?  How could I fight for her?  What leg did I have to stand on?  This was the only way.  She didn't want a relationship anyway.  She said so herself.  So why would I break up a sure thing with Odette, just to have Rory break my heart again some day!" Logan exclaimed.

"Look, we all miss Rory.  She left us all.  But you can still get her back, Logan and you refuse to see that" Colin said calmly.

"What is so wrong that you just can't be happy for Odette and I?" Logan pleaded.

"That slag treats us like dogs, Logan.  We're supposed to be your best friends, but she wants us nowhere near you.  She's got you sucked in like the wanker you are, all just for a backhanded compliment to your riches" Finn retaliated.

"Don't you see what she's doing?  She's got you, and your whole family, wrapped around her little finger.  All because she's the other half of this 'power couple' your families dreamed up.  She doesn't love you - hell, she doesn't even CARE about you!  All you are is a business perk.  She would leave you at the drop of a hat as soon as her family found someone more prestigious than you to marry her off to" Colin insisted.

"Just face it man, you don't love her either.  Who are you trying to kid?" Robert pushed.

Finn sighed.  "Look, Rory leaving was a kick in the guts for us all, but Odette is nothing but a waste of space, and Rory is all the go.  You were all smiles with her around!  You can't tell me you've forgotten!  Odette doesn't make you smile like that.  Hell, I don't think I've seen you smile at all while she's around.  But hey, you do what you want, mate.  I can't hack it right now" Finn lectured, and then walked out the door.

"Finn!  Come on man, wait!" Logan called after him.

"Interesting" Robert mentioned.  "HIM you fight for.  There's something wrong with that, man" Colin said, and both of them walked out, following Finn out the door.
