After my mom and Lane had left my room, I picked up my phone, and chose the FaceTime option, and I walked into the bathroom.

"Hey, Rory.  How's the weekend going?" Jess asked as he popped up on my screen, but then must have heard the sound of the water filling up the jacuzzi tub.  "What IS that?  It's obnoxiously loud" he said with a laugh.

"I'm getting ready to sit and try to relax in the bath.  This weekend has been...  a roller coaster...  and right now I'm feeling pretty low" I admitted after from residual sniffling left over from my crying session before.

"What, why?  What's going on?  Haven't you seen Logan?" He asked.

I nodded.  "Yeah, I have, but he's gone" I said, softly.

"Gone!?  What happened?" he asked in concern.

"I have no idea what happened" I said.

"Walk me through it, maybe I can help piece it together" he offered.

"Well, he actually did it - he left her for me!  It was a rough start because I was so emotional, I didn't even stay there long enough to talk to him, because I thought he was flat out telling me that he would never leave her.  So I turn into a mess, and go back to the hotel.  But eventually I decided I needed to go back to see him, after I'd calmed myself down, and apparently he was off breaking up with her at the same time" I said.

"So that part's awesome!  What happened after that?" he asked.

"Well, we went someplace, just the two of us, so we could talk quietly.  And as soon as he told me he broke up with her, I told him I was pregnant" I said.

"Wow, that's great, Rory!  I'm proud of you for that!  How'd he take the news?" he asked.

"REALLY well, actually.  Way better than I'd anticipated" I said, smiling at the memory of how happy he'd seemed to be.

Jess was confused...  "So...  What happened...?" He asked.

"I have no idea...  we stayed up a while talking, he stayed the night at my room, and he's been gone ever since early this morning.  Not even his best friends have heard from him.  He just disappeared without a trace, and has been gone ever since" I whispered, trying to hold back more tears as I relived the sinking feeling.

"Rory, you're being stupid and getting upset over nothing!  He's probably not even gone!" he said with a laugh.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Is vanishing without a trace something Logan has ever done to you before?" he asked, looking at me sternly.

"Well, no..." I admitted.

"I know I've done that to you in the past, but he never has.  You can't assume he's going to do the same bad things that I've done, especially when I was a angry punk teenager at the time.  Even I don't have it in me to do that to someone anymore.  Why are you jumping to such harsh conclusions about this guy, Rory?  You love him and he obviously loves you!  Can't you just be happy about that?  And be patient enough to wait for an explanation before you get so upset?  The poor guy is probably out right now planning something nice for you, and you're already planning your breakup after being back together for less than twenty four hours!" he said.

I was in shock.  He was absolutely right.  What was I doing?  Did I really have such a small amount of trust for Logan?  I know we've got a lot of rebuilding to do, but deep down I knew he wouldn't do this to me. Jess made me realize I was being irrational, and now that I'm looking back on it all, it makes absolutely no sense of why I got so upset, other than the fact that he's been gone for hours without a note.

"Rory?" Jess asked, seeing the wheels turning in my head.

"Wow...  I really am an idiot, huh?" I asked with an embarrassed smile.

"Ace?  Ace where are you!?" We both could hear coming from the bedroom.

"Go talk to him.  Bye Rory" Jess said and hung up.

"Ace?" Logan asked again, knocking lightly on the bathroom door.

I opened it and he looked relieved.  "There you are, Ace!  They told me how upset you were!  I'm so sorry, come here" he whispered, pulling me into his arms and just held me tight.

"Where did you go?  I thought you'd left me" I whispered.

He laughed gently.   "Are you kidding me?  Why in the HELL would I ever let you leave my side EVER again, Ace?  Not now, not ever!" he promised, bringing his head down to touch my forehead with his.

I smiled a great big smile that I couldn't wipe off of my face if I tried.  "I'm so sorry I doubted you" I whispered.

"Why DID you, though?  It's important to me that you know that I'm not going anywhere.  Odette and I ended things more amicably than I ever dreamed.  I still have my father to talk to when I get back to London, but other than figuring out things for a couple of days, I'll be with you, and only you.  And our little guy, of course" he said with a smile, gently touching his hand on my stomach.

"Our little guy?  You think it's a boy?" I asked in amusement.

An adorable smile spread across his face and he shrugged.  "I kinda hope so, but I would be happy either way" he admitted.  "What about you?  Would you rather have a boy or a girl?" He asked.

I smiled and shrugged.  I honestly didn't know...  I'd asked myself the same question from time to time, but I couldn't decide which one I wanted more: a boy or a girl.  I have reasons why I would love to have either.

"I have no idea.  I could easily want either" I said.
