"So do you have any idea of what you'll write in your article?" Honor asked.  "Ow!  PLEASE be more careful, Judy" she begged her manicurist.

"Yes, ma'am.  I'm so sorry" Judy said.  She knew of the Huntzberger's, and how much power came with the name.  It wasn't so unusual for someone to show fear to one, but with Honor, it was completely unnecessary.

Meanwhile, I was in heaven enjoying my spa treatments.  Getting a massage from a the massage chair, while I was getting a facial, a mani AND a pedi.  We were being served hors d'oeuvres and sipping on mimosas - or at least she thought that's what I was drinking.  It was actually just straight orange juice.  I wasn't sure how long I could keep making excuses not to drink on this trip!

"I really don't know, Honor, I mean - there are just SO many things I want to say to him and SO much emotion and memories that I want him to feel, but I only get one shot at getting through to him, and it's really a lot of pressure for me to get it just right - and besides, I feel like this could backfire really, really badly" I groaned.

She closed her magazine abruptly and faced me.  "Rory Gilmore, you can't think of it that way!  Failure is not an option at this point!  You have to believe it will work or this WON'T WORK!" She insisted.

I took a drink from my glass and laughed.  "Thanks, Honor.  That helped."  I said, leaning back into my seat, but still smiling.

She just shook her head and smiled too, and then went back to enjoying her relaxation experience.

Logan's POV

"Logan Huntzberger here.  Hey, I'm sorry, I can't talk right now, I'm getting ready to walk into a meeting.  Am I able to call you back when I'm finished?...  Okay, great!  What was your name again?...  Jess Mariano.  Got it.  And what was this regarding again?..." he asked.  He stopped dead in his tracks as he heard him say her name.  "I-I'll have to - call you right back after the meeting" Logan stammered and hung up the phone in shock.  He took in a deep, shaky breath, and tried to pull himself together before walking into the board room full of professionals.  He didn't want to prove their preconceived notions of his inexperience and incapabilities right.  He had a lot of people to prove a lot of things to in this meeting, it was the biggest meeting of his career thus far.

"I hate that you have to go back home tonight.  It's been so much fun having a girl around the house for a change!" She said rolling her eyes as we sat and watched her two boys playing roughly in the back yard.

I laughed a little.  "I know, I've really missed girl time too, since my mom's been gone.  It's awful" I said sadly.

"When does your mom come back home?" She asked curiously.

"Day after tomorrow," I said after sucking in a deep, refreshing breath of air into my lungs, "and I can't wait!"

"You guys have always been so close.  That must be nice.  My mom and I never were, she spent more time judging me than doing anything MOTHERLY with me.  That's the main reason why we moved to upstate New York, just to get far enough out of her social circle to not be on constant surveillance" she said.

I nodded as if I understood, but I didn't.  Wow.  I really couldn't imagine having a relationship like that with my mom.  Just another time to remind myself of how lucky I am to have her, and how much I wanted to be as much like her as possible when my child is born.  If I'm half the woman my mother is, then my son or daughter will be luckier than they'll ever know.

"Staying with Jess has been a nice change of pace, and it's really been great for our friendship, but I'll be so glad when my mom gets back home and life can get somewhat back to normal again" I said, somewhat changing the subject.

"Yeah, he seems like a really nice guy.  He must really care about you.  He's your cousin now, right?" she asked.

I nodded and laughed.  "Yeah, I guess he sort of is.  He's just a really good friend and I really care about him, too," I said with a smile.

"Ladies, your dinner is served" Josh said, setting plates of home cooked food down in front of us.

"Oh honey, this looks delicious!" She exclaimed, and then she turned to me.

"When we moved here, we decided we wouldn't hire any outside help and let me tell you, it's been great!  Josh is SUCH an amazing cook!" She gushed.

He smiled and sat down beside us with a plate of his own.

Suddenly we could hear yelling and screaming outside and we all turned to look out the glass doors that led to the back yard in concern.  We all began to laugh as we realized what was really going on - it was Colin, Robert and Finn running around chasing Liam and Ian. The smiles on all their faces were just adorable.

I smiled at the thought of them as Uncle Colin, Uncle Robert, and Uncle Finn while I touched my stomach lovingly under the table.

"It will work because it HAS to work" I thought to myself, suddenly never feeling so sure of anything in my life.
