Sehar and her mom went down for the party which was organised at the basement of their building. All the other buildings nearby had a good and fun time. The functions were carried out pretty well but Sehar was disturbed by the incident which took place that evening. Abhimanyu's building was also visible but Sehar couldn't notice him. After a while everyone started dancing and were having fun but Sehar was quite sad. While she was looking around she saw Abhimanyu sitting at the balcony's edge and peeping down.
Sehar's mother constantly asked her to accompany her towards the ice-cream corner but madam was busy staring and gawking at Abhimanyu. After a while both of them came back and started watching the telly. Sehar immediately grabbed the phone and saw a 'hii' from Abhimanyu and now she was superexcited as she had a lot to tell!!!!
Abhimanyu-hii
Sehar- hey , you are sitting in the balcony right?
Abhimanyu-yes!! I saw you too
(Sehar was like wtf!!! How did he notice me? I was gawking at him like an idiot means he saw me shit! Shit! Shit!)
Sehar- oh really where did you see me.?
Abhimanyu- near your building.. I guess you were wearing a green top?
Sehar- yaaa...
( shit ! He saw me oh god he saw me gawking at him . calm down !!!calm down!!)
Abhimanyu- what all took place?
Sehar- actually I went down late so I missed a lot
Abhimanyu- oh!! That's fine but why did you went down late
Sehar- because mom was scolding me
Abhimanyu- why ??
Sehar- she finally asked about you....
Abhimanyu-what!!!!what did you say???
Sehar- I said that I like you
Abhimanyu-what??? Are you serious???? Aren't you afraid of your Mom??
(Though Sehar was extremely scared of her mom but didn't want show her fear in front of Abhimanyu so she thought of showing braveness)
Sehar- of course not ....why would I be... You are not my boyfriend or we don't share anything like that... So I don't think I should be scared of anyone
Abhimanyu - yaa you are right... So what else did your mom say
Sehar- she said that first I should achieve something and if then I want I can marry you.
Abhimanyu - WHAT THE.... I MEAN ARE YOU SERIOUS??
Sehar- yes of course... But I cleared all of her doubts and told her that it's just a one-sided crush...
Abhimanyu- ohkay!!! So do you really want to marry me!!???
(Sehar was shocked to hear such a response but then calmed her mind and texted)
Sehar- No, there isn't anything like that
Abhimanyu- you know what we have a lot of age difference between us, if you would have been of my age then I would have given it a thought...
There was silence for a moment between Sehar and the stranger when suddenly the stranger said
"is he dumb, what has age difference to do in that? "
Sehar looked at him and then looked outside the window. She looked at her watch which showed 3:42 am. The atmosphere outside was so scary that she preferred not to look out.
Sehar looked at the stranger and asked," what's the day today?? "
" Friday "
" no I meant the date. What's the date? "Sehar looked tensed
" it's 28th April, but why are you... I mean is everything alright?? "
Sehar's expressions started changing. She looked more intense and frightened but suddenly said," nothing!!! Absolutely nothing!!!"
"should I tell you something, there is a lot of confusion in your mind regarding Abhimanyu, you are yet to find out a lot about him. You are totally confused and therefore an insomniac " the stranger tried to convince Sehar that she is totally confused about Abhimanyu and it is high time she should find a solution
" I didn't have any option and I am not confused.. 28th April 2007 when I was 15 I know what happened and I went through... I have experienced the pain, you have not... You don't even know what happened that day. The last day of me in Mumbai which I wanted to be the most happiest day of my life but because of him, because of Mr. Abhimanyu Rawat I couldn't make my last day the best day... I couldn't, I couldn't!!! "
Having said this Sehar burst into tears. The stranger could do nothing but kept asking her," are you alright? "
" because of him I cannot sleep, because of him I have been living in fear, I have started hating Mumbai, I have not visited Mumbai in past 10 years and you still think that I am confused"
The stranger confidently asked, "did you try to overcome your fear or put forward your point of view?"
"yes I did, but when people don't wish to listen they never do understand what the person on the other end is trying to say"
" so tell me what happened on 28th April"
Will Sehar be able to tell what happened on 28th April or will she be frightened to face her biggest fear??
