The day was fleeting by in a wash of sunlight and shadows. It had taken hours for Esther to complete translating her spells until she found the right one to help Rebekah.

Ava was appalled by the mothers incessant begging for forgiveness. Hearing the way she allowed her own daughter to be swept away into a madness no one should have to bare.

It had got to the point where Ava had leant against the wall in exhaustion, her gaze narrowing toward the finally complete spell and to the disconcerting look in Freya's face.

"I can't do this. This spell requires an enormous amount of power." She refused, shaking the paper as if it would show her another spell.

"Which you have." Esther responded in attempt of comfort, her smile enough to make Ava want to wretch.

"And that power needs to be anchored, or I'll be lost inside Eva's mind along with Rebekah. Unlike your magic, mine isn't anchored to any one place. Because of you, I have no home." Freya retorted, her irises still fresh of the pain started over 1000 years ago. Ava couldn't help but want to calm the startled witch.

"Perhaps. But there is no other spell." Esther had transformed from empathic to emotionless in a matter of seconds. She had turned to klaus with a shrug, toying with his mind as if she wanted to play another game.

Ava stepped forward provocatively, understanding the mother clearly. Klaus grimaced at his altercation, his hand firmly attached to avas as he pulled her back away from any chance of danger.

"You!" Freya called out into the silence. Each head turned to her.

"I can use you as my anchor. I'll channel your power as I breach Eva's mind." She clarified with a determined look, watching as her words filtered through each person.

"And there it is. The price. If she channels you, she will have access to your mind, past and present. She will know everything about you." Esther eyed the mikaelson suspiciously.

Ava was gobsmacked at the families constant need for harm to one another. Her eyes were wide and pulsing with anger, already grinding her teeth to try to calm her agitation.

"Are you freaking kidding me? Find another way Freya, because you sure as hell aren't using nik as some sort of double A battery." Ava growled, ripping klauses grip from her and stepping closer to the magicless witch.

"All of my strategies and all of my secrets laid bare to give to Dahlia. You must think I'm a fool." Klaus chuckled maliciously, his eyebrows arched in accusation.

"Unless it's not a trick. I'll be the anchor." A familiar voice materialised out of no where, allowing all gazes to flicker to the man in a suit.

"Brother, I think not." Klaus shook his head, his expression washed of any humour.

"Brother whatever this is, must not prevent us from saving our sister. I will not lose Rebekah." Elijah strode toward them, ignoring the fascinated look exuding from their mother.

"Lijah, we all want Rebekah safe and back in her own body. But by doing it this way, you might just be putting us all in more danger." Ava hummed softly, her lips tilted upward slightly in the most exhausted smile she could muster.

"By all means brother, give Dahlias whelp access to all the information she needs to destroy us!" Klaus added to avas notion, his words more viscous and condescending. The two brothers inch closer, anger written over each of their features.

"And since when do we heed the words of this serpent?" Elijah spat as his finger extended to their mother cowering in the background.

Each of the young faced people were towering over one another. Ava had clung onto klaus' arm to pull him back from a brewing fight. The brothers were shouting through the thick air. And Freya had her hands gripped to the shackles attached to her.

"Enough!" She screamed as she yanked the chains away from her wrists. The metal clattered to the floor before anyone could respond, immediately followed by a gruelling crack and swift movement from the young witch.

Klaus fell to the floor in a heap, unconscious and lifeless. Ava screamed from shock, crouching down and trying to find any way to awaken the deadman.

Elijah was unnerved by the situation, his gaze intently watching the hyperventilating girl before walking away with his sister.

Mikealsons came first.
Always and forever.

"Nik, now is not the time to be arrogant- just wake up!" Ava muttered, slapping his face as it rested on her lap.

"When Vincent told me about you, I was skeptical. How could someone so pure, love someone so vulgar?" Esther sung from the darkness, looming over the two people below her as if she had the upper hand.

Ava shot the woman a glare as she listened to her ignorant words, she didn't want to listen to some obsessive mother.

"But I can see you care much more for him than I ever expected. You would even stay here with a vampire to keep him safe. I can see you sparking some sort of redemption with my son." She continued, acting as if this were a fairytale and Ava had to solve it all.

But her words had sparked something else within Ava, her eyes slitted and she could feel an anger she had never felt before.

"Can people stop telling me I'm the key to his redemption! Nik doesn't need to prove himself to anyone- especially not to you. And he sure as hell is better than his parents! He doesn't want someone to change him, he just wants someone to listen. And no one ever has! So don't tell me he's you're son, because you lost that right a long time ago."

No words!!!

I apologise.
I apologise for the late update,
And I apologise for uploading such a bad chapter.

I've found balancing revision, my free time, my exam time, my work, and my writing time very challenging. But I am trying.

I recently got a job, 5 hour shifts so my main priority is to serve and clean. I hope you understand from the beginning of summer my main goal is to balance two jobs and volunteer because its the most critical break of my life.
It's literally my last. (After this summer, I will be having to follow school work onto the breaks because of A levels)
