"How the hell was I to know she was going to jump out of the freaking window?" Haley asked after being herded into an argument with one of he Mikaelson men.

"I've just found her Haley! Now she's off galavanting on some mission to find something. Most likely putting herself in ridiculous amounts danger." Klaus roared, pushing away the crap littering one of the many surfaces. Haley rose her eyebrows at the brother beside him, not pleased with the hybrids reaction.

"Need I remind you Niklaus, Avangaline could handle herself long before you loved her. I doubt she'd put herself in danger."

Ava strolled into her apartment with a smirk resting on her lips, a plan already set in motion to retrieve what was hers.

"Camille?" She called out, toning into her heightened senses but hearing nothing more a slight murmur for breath. She turned the corner and stopped dead in her tracks at the sight unfolding in front of her, panic rising in her throat.

"I don't do such messy jobs as Aurora does." Lucien Castle chuckled as he swirled a glass of blood in his hand. Ava furrowed her eyebrows and stepped forward, hand outstretched to meet her sisters as she stood stiff within a restraint.

"No, I made sure Camille here died and transitioned. Really, I don't know how Auroras plan with you worked." He pressed on, forcing the blonde to drink more and watching in pure delight as blood trickled down her chin.

"You bastard." Ava yelled, before launching herself at the man and sending them toppling to the floor in a heap. Cami was heartbroken and in denial as she watched her sister vamp out and try to rip the mans throat out. All Lucien did was laugh, watching inquisitively as the blonde punched him without a glimmer of remorse.

Once the humour died down, he had thrown her across the room and sent her body barrelling into a bookcase. He materialised in front of her, smacking her head against the wall and laughing maliciously as her sweet red blood dotted his fingertips.

Cami screamed, trying to ignore the harsh hunger biting her skin as she watched her sister get littered in bruises. But a pure white rage still fuelled Ava's mind, and her eyes snapped open shining a vivid red as anger pulled through her.

She found a strong hold on his biceps and sent them both toppling forward, launching through the window off the quaint apartment and onto the roof of another.

"Still feisty in death, I love it." Lucien grinned as the girl yanked him up by his collar, steam basically oozing from her ears. She pushed him backward until his feet were wobbling on the edge of the roof top, slight concern tracing his expression.

Ava snarled as she loosened her grip on his collar, waiting for the man to fall. With one last belt of anger, she managed to spit out her last remark before she sent him tumbling to the floor.

"You come near my sister again, and I won't just be hunting Aurora."

The O'Connell sisters had confided in each other when times were hard because one had always had their life together. Yet somehow, both had been stripped of that and they were stood spiralling down a pathway of darkness.

Ava had left Camille alone after a flood of rage filled the older sister, uncontrollable thirst digging in her gut. Ava muttered profanities as she stormed into the compound, searching for a bloodbag as she had no patience with a person in the dark hour.

Klaus came stomping down the staircase, fuming with ignorant anger at her disappearance, but cut his remark short at her state.

"What happened?" Was all he asked, stopping in the centre and expecting the girl to curl into his chest. Instead, she pushed past him and headed to the kitchen shrugging off her white rage.

"I beat up Lucien Castle." She muttered monotonously, grabbing a blood bag and downing it within seconds. Klaus tried to hide his smirk slightly, confusion tracing his skin.

"Do you aim to find danger, love. And how did you manage to beat up someone over 9 centuries older than you?" He replied shortly, following her like a lost puppy as she chucked the bag in the bin and headed toward the door.

"He pissed me off." She retorted, rolling her eyes as the man hurried behind her. Klaus was suddenly in front of her and blocked her exit, no humour left in his expression.

"What did he do?" He asked, head cocked slightly to the side. Ava folded her arms and gave him a pointed look before her hard exterior slowly crumbled.

"He killed Camille." She snarled, the anger bubbling inside her once again. Klaus fell silent, speechless at the girls lack of emotion. Had she switched it off?

"She's not properly dead. Well she is dead. But he turned her. The little vindictive cowardice vulgar..." She riled herself up, veins popping underneath her eyes and body shaking. Klaus' hands fell against her shoulders and the warmth sent her body to relax.

"He will be dealt with, Ava. Please do not go back and find more danger." He soothed, watching her fold slightly and the lights of her eyes to sneak back in.

"I'm worried Niklaus." She whispered, her lip trembling from the fear she suddenly had wash upon her. He nodded, bringing her into a tight embrace and letting her walls come crashing down around them.

"I know. So am I."
