I stand on the shoulders of giants;
Ordinary people that
Shake the world
With the impact they have made on lives.
Many or few, it doesn't matter,
Just that they've changed
Someone's life for the better.
My mother,
My friends,
My enemies,
My dreams and nightmares.
The rain on my skin,
The relatives I never knew;
They all shape me into who I must become
For the sake of the world.
The giants,
They don't know
They're someone's shoulders, chosen to be stood on.
But we know who our giants are.
Ordinary things,
Ordinary people
In an ordinary world,
Are extraordinary
To someone.
