This is a poem/song chorus I wrote for my grandpa, who has had early-onset Alzheimer's for four years, and who recently lost all his memory to the disease. <3
Love you, Grandpa, and I'll never forget you.
you don't remember me
or anything we used to do
you don't remember me
or all the things that we've been through
and I knew it was coming, but did it have to be so soon
you don't remember me, but that's okay,
I'll always remember you
