All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players... -William Shakespeare
Well, that didn't stop her
From acting her part well
But the others in the cast
hatched a plan behind her back
And she was too busy enjoying life that she couldn't even tell
They all slowly began to tear her down
With looks and words and thought
Until she forgot the stage was real
And figured she was worth naught.
It got so bad, she decided to leave
The stage and never come back
So the last curtain of the night closed,
But nobody had known
That she'd made that her final act.
Everyone has a life's stage they play on
And everyone has to end their lines
But don't let the curtain set on the actors early
And don't force them to close the curtains before their time.
