Truth rings
In your words,
The ones too pure for mere minds to speak
For they alone come from the soul.
Truth chimes
In the teachings,
The lessons learned at church, at school, at home,
For truth is God, and God loves truth.
Truth cries
In anger at the deeds that were done,
The ones where innocent lives were razed
And they alone know where the guilt truly lies.
Truth rejoices
In our honesty,
The times we knew the phrases we must confess
For when we condemned ourselves, our consciences were saved.
Truth reflects
In our souls
The kind of people we hope to be
For truth alone knows who we can become.
Truth is
Raw power,
The power to save or destroy someone's life,
For the smallest disturbance in the water can cause the largest waves.
What we choose to achieve with truth
Depends on us alone.
How do I know all this?
Truth told me so.
It is inside me.
All of us.
Just listen...
And you will hear it in your soul.
