Our hearts used to beat to the same beat
Slowly pounding, then soft and sweet
But then you disconnected the cord
And I couldn't hear your heartbeat anymore
I couldn't understand the reason you gave me up
Until one day I saw why
You had connected your heart with someone else's
And right then, a part of me died
This originally was just a poem I made up. But today (10 Oct. 2017) I was replaced in a relationship by someone else.
It hurts just as much as the poem says.
