I walked into the kitchen to grab a little snack, and gave the lovebirds some privacy to say their goodbyes.

I was still in shock Ninjago actually apologized to me.

I doubted it was sincere though, but I'd take it.

I opened the fridge door and looked around on the shelves.

"I can make us something, if you'd like." Bethany said, entering the kitchen.

I turned and glanced at her, "Yeah sure."

She nodded and made her way to the fridge to grab ingredients.

"Fried chicken with Mac and cheese, green beans, and mashed potatoes sound okay?"

Damn.

"Sound okay? Hell yeah, sounds great to me." I chuckled.

"Good." She laughed.

I watched her preparing the food.

"Nathan's a lucky guy."

"Hm?" She asked, glancing at me as she peeled the potatoes.

"I know you heard me, I'm not saying it again." I kissed my teeth.

"Why do you say he's a lucky guy?" She smiled.

"Duh, cause he gets you. You're beyond beautiful, loyal, and you can throw down in the kitchen. That's wifey material."

She glanced at me.

"Oh okay. Thank you."

"Welcome baybeh."

She smiled and I left her to her cooking.

I headed back upstairs and found Ang standing up in her crib.

"Look who's up." I smiled and she held her arms out to me.

I picked her up and kissed her cheek.

"Mama?" She asked, looking around the room.

"Downstairs cooking. C'mon."

"Foo?" Her eyes widened and she smiled.

"Yeah baybeh, food." I chuckled.

She pointed at the door as if saying "Go nigga" and I made the walk downstairs.

The minute we entered the kitchen and she saw her mother, she was pushing against my chest for me to put her down.

I squatted down and as soon as her little feet touched the ground, she was waddling her way to Bethany.

"Hey Angel." Bethany said, a smile instantly gracing her face.

She quickly wiped her hand on a towel and reached down to pick Angel up.

I took a seat at the kitchen table and just watched them interact.

Damn, they're beautiful.

Bethany glanced over at me and winked.

I winked back.

She propped Angel on her hip and stirred the pot of green beans with her other hand.

She grabbed the bag of flour needed to batter the chicken but struggled to open it.

I left the table to grab the bag and open it for her.

"I got the chicken and I'll do the mac and cheese. Just finish the rest."

"Thanks Aug." She smiled.

"Aug." Angel repeated, grinning at both of us. "Dada Aug."

"That's right babygirl." I smirked at Bethany. "Daddy Aug."
