Missing the Train...

After Diagon Alley, we all decided to head to King's Cross Station. I mean the train did leave at 11 o'clock, and it was 10:30, but still. Then turns out we got stuck in traffic. We didn't get to King's Cross until about 10:55. We all were rushing to get to the platform. Once we got there, Everyone ended up going onto the platform. Everybody except Harry, Ron, and me.

Ron and Harry bolted toward the middle between 9 and 10, after Mrs. Weasley and Ginny went in. But they didn't make it. They ran right into the barrier. I looked away as soon as I saw the trolleys hit the wall.

I saw as people were staring at them. "Sorry, they're just having a bad day," I apologized for them. I walked over to them with my trolley. They were both tangled in a mess of their stuff, Hedwig, and them. I helped them up, and helped get their stuff back on their trollies. I felt the wall: solid as a rock. "It's closed," I groaned. I put my back to the wall and leaned my head against it. I closed my eyes, This cannot be happening. It's only our second year. UGH.

The clock chimed. "The train leaves at exactly 11 o'clock. We've missed it!" Harry exclaimed.

I opened my eyes, and Harry seemed agitated. I looked to Ron and he almost looked scared or worried, "So, guys, if the barriers closed, then that means Mum and Dad can't get back."

"Maybe we should just go wait by the car," Harry suggested.

"The car," Ron said. I knew what he was thinking.

"No," I piped up. "No, Ronald, I know what you're thinking. You are completely stupid for thinking it," I put my finger in his face.

Next thing I knew I was in the car with Ron and Harry. They had convinced me to go with them. Well, there wasn't much convincing. They were just like, 'We are leaving with or without you.' I couldn't just let them go alone, and be stupid. I still had that promise with Dumbledore too. Yeah, I still had it. Wasn't going to get rid of it for a while.

"Don't forget before you go up in the sky, you need to turn on the invisibility stuff," I said, sitting in the middle of the front. Behind me were Iris, who was meowing up a storm; and Hedwig, who I could tell wasn't happy with the arrangement.

"Yeah, yeah," Ron waved me off. "I know. Muggles will see us if we don't. You've said that so many times."

I rolled my eyes. I've only said it twice.

Ron started up the car, and was about to take off.

"Ronald..." I warned him.

He sighed and flipped the switch. Then we took off, and I held onto my seat. Why couldn't I drive?

We were over some beautiful hills. I looked over the hood, and all I could see was green. I sighed, and leaned back in my seat. Then I heard something go, "Erpth," I shot up and turned to Ron, "What was that?"

"I guess the invisibility booster must be faulty," Ron groaned.

I sighed in relief, "Well, there aren't any muggles out here. That's for sure."

"Let's get lower, and see if we can spot the train," Harry said. And with that Ron got lower. Then ahead I noticed train tracks. We are on the right path.

"Now all we need to do is catch up with the train," Harry said as we got lower to the tracks.

"Yeah, we can't be far behind," Ron shrugged.

I nodded and took a deep breath. Can't be far behind? I hope your right Ron. Then I heard this chugging noise. Just like the train was close to us. A little too close.
