What'd You Do, Harry?

I glanced over at her, "Would you stop staring at me? I don't like how you're judging me."

Iris just tilted her head. She meowed at me.

"I don't know what you're saying, and I don't care," I nodded. I continued to walk around my room. I had my stuff packed for Hogwarts a month after I had gotten home.

Hermione and I talked all summer. I told her about my little crush on Draco...let's just say she wasn't too happy. But she wanted me to be happy, so she learned to accept it. She also thought it'll never happen.

I've talked to the Weasley's as well. Most of them. Occasionally the twins will send me a howler. That always helped me laugh. Ron's doing good, as well as Ginny. Molly will send me little treats with Ron's letters. I always thanked her.

Harry and I have been hanging out more. He was doing pretty good. I never told him or Ron about Draco. Besides the fact that we're friends. Harry's fine with it. Ron...is...getting there.

My mother and I didn't talk this summer. I haven't even seen her. At all. I found that a little weird at first, but soon enough I heard her. So I knew when to come out of my room and when not to.

Draco and I sent letters to each other all summer. A few days after I sent a letter, one would arrive to me. We only put our nicknames in case his mother or father were to look at them.

My appearance changed slightly. My hair got slightly lighter, and some cool highlights appeared in my hair. My skin hasn't really changed, just got more freckles on my arms. I was able to get better glasses, even though I wear my contacts all the time. Still have pimples though.

I was reading up on my books over the summer, and I read up on my animagus notes as well. I was so excited to get to turn into my new form.

I made a few CDs, and bought a lot more. I've learned new songs. I also worked on my voice, when mother wasn't home.

I sat on my bed and sighed, "Oh Iris, I wish Hogwarts would just start already. I have two days until we leave. Two! It feels like forever," I whined.

She looked up at me. I looked down at her. I grabbed her little cat face, "Help me keep my sanity."

I focused on her eyes, What sanity? I heard her voice echo in a nonchalant mood.

"Funny," I released her and fell onto my back.

I tried to get comfortable, but nothing worked. I sat back up. I sighed in boredom.

I was going to hang out with Harry that day, but he had a weird aunt come over. I was not invited. Mostly because the Dursleys hated me. No, it was because they hated me.

A scream and some yelling startled me. I jumped off my bed, and ran to my bedroom window. I took a glance. In the Dursley's backyard, an obese woman seemed to be floating away.

"Oh no," I groaned. "What'd Harry do now?"

I opened my bedroom door. I whipped around the corner, and I saw the front door open. Silence.

I stared at my mother. She stared at me. I couldn't tell whether she was drunk or sober, but I didn't have the time. I walked up to her, and pushed past her. I didn't say anything. Neither did she.

I ran up to the house, and knocked on the door. No answer. I groaned, and tried to open the door. Great. Now I gotta pick the lock, I took off one of my bobby pins, and started to pick.

After a minute, it clicked. I swung it open. I saw Harry rushing down the stairs with his trunk. "What's going on?" I asked.

He got down the stairs and was about to say something when Vernon came waddling in fast. "Bring her back! You bring her back, right now!" He seemed unfazed by me being there, but he was really angered.
