When i walked into the snowball i saw all the guys sitting around so i decided to get a drink. I turned around and saw mike sitting all alone, i took a deep breath and started walking towards him. He stood up looking at the door, i looked over and saw el. He completely ignored me and walked towards her.
I felt tears in my eyes as i ran towards the back behind all the streamers. After a couple minutes, a guy named Jace walked up to me
"Hey...y/n, wanna dance?" I looked up and saw that his hand was stuck out, waiting for me to take it
"Sure...thanks J"
We walked to the dance floor as he put his hands on my waist and my hands on his neck. At the corner of my eye i saw mike kiss El, he noticed me looking and pulled away. I looked back at Jace and gave him all my attention
"Hey...you okay?" I looked into his eyes and saw that he genuinely cared. We stared at each other for a couple minutes before i started to lean in.
We kissed for a couple of seconds before pulling away, his cheeks were red and so were mine. I completely forgot about Mike in that moment.

It's been 2 months since the snowball and me and Jace got together the very next day. I was still friends with Dustin, Lucas, and Max, i didn't talk to Mike anymore. He would try to talk to me but i would just ignore him.
I was walking out of school until i heard someone call me
"Hey! Y/n" It was Mike
"What?"
"How've you been"
"I've been good, really good actually"
"Your dating Jace right?"
"Yeah, you still dating El?" He froze for moment
"Uh...i broke up with her" i stopped walking
"What? Why?"
"Because...because i like someone else. But she doesn't like me back"
"How do you know that?"
"I did something bad to her, and now she has a boyfriend and she's happier without me, now i can't have her..." he started to cry and i pulled him into a hug.
"Who it Mike? Who's the girl?"

He pushed his lips against mine, after a couple seconds i kissed back
