After losing Santana, Brittany, and Mercedes I knew there was only one person I could turn to. Sam. I knew about his family struggles with money which was why he had to quit Glee club in the first place, I knew I had to talk to my mom about it. "Mom?" I asked as I peaked my head into the room. "Yes sweetie?" she said looking up. "You know how the Evans' lost everything last year," I said as my mom nodded. "It was such a tragedy. I'm so glad Dwight and Mary were able to land on their feet," my mom said as I bit my lip. "Do you think it'd be okay if we helped them out a little bit?" I asked. "Did they come to you for money?" my mom asked confused. "No. Not at all. It's just Sam had to quit Glee Club because he didn't have the money to continue to be a part of the club," I sighed. "Oh I get it. Do you need more members is that what this is about?" my mom asked as I nodded.

She seemed to think about it for a minute before finally saying to me "I'll help them." "Really?" I grinned. "Yes, really," my mom said. I hugged her tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you," I grinned as I left for school glad there was a chance we could get Sam back into the Glee Club.

I walked by Sam's locker. "Hi," I smiled a bit as Sam seemed surprised to see me there. "Hey," Sam said closing his locker over. "I hadn't seen you since the summer," I said honestly. "Yeah...I was kind of busy getting a part time job. It eats away at all my free time," Sam said. "Another one? I thought you were delivering pizzas?" I said confused. "Yeah well my family needs the money," he shrugged.

"I wanted to talk to you about rejoining New Directions," I said simply as Sam chuckled. "You're joking right?" he asked. I shook my head. "Sam, we need you. It's not the same in Glee Club without you," I frowned a bit as Sam sighed. "Even if I said yes, I don't think I'd be able to make all the rehearsals," Sam said. "What if I told you that your Glee fees were already paid for," I smiled a bit. "Wait what?" Sam asked. "My mom paid for you to rejoin Glee Club. Any expenses that come up we'll cover you," I told him seriously. Sam teared up. "You don't have to do that," he said sheepishly. "I want to," I told him seriously "Look Sam, I know you're only a junior but this is the last year some of us have as a member of New Directions. It just wouldn't feel complete without you." Sam seemed to nod "I'm in," he grinned as I celebrated hugging him tightly.

The choir room seemed completely silent when I walked in. "What happened?" I asked confused as Tina frowned. "Mike's dad disowned him for wanting to pursue his passion of dance," Tina said emotionally. I couldn't help but hug Mike. I knew exactly what that was like. After my parents had disowned me when they had found out I was pregnant I couldn't help but feel sympathy towards anyone else who was going through the same thing. "Thanks Quinn," Mike said quietly as I let him out of the hug.

"What's Sam doing here?" Finn finally. "Quinn convinced me to rejoin Glee Club," Sam said as everyone began to celebrate hugging Sam. "It's good to have you back buddy," Finn grinned. "Thanks. It feels good to be back," Sam admitted as he took his seat in the choir room. Mr. Schue seemed pleased that Sam had returned. "Good job Quinn getting us another member of the New Directions," Mr. Schue grinned. "Thank you Mr. Schue," I smiled. "Sam, welcome back," Mr. Schue said. "Thanks. It's good to be back," Sam smiled.

"Now guys, this week is opening week of West Side Story, so Glee Club rehearsals will not be taking place for the rest of this week. Instead most of you are in the West Side Story play," Mr. Schue said as we all nodded. "So, let's head to the auditorium and get started," Mr. Schue said as we all headed to the auditorium to run through West Side Story.

For the rest of the week we were focused on West Side Story since opening night would be taking place on Friday. Rachel had called a meeting with us Glee girls that week. "Can I talk to you girls?" she asked me and Tina. "Of course...what's going on Rachel?" I asked as Rachel took a deep breath. "Finn and I were... almost intimate," Rachel said. "Almost? What happened?" Tina asked. "He ran out. I just, I wanted my performance of Maria to be as realistic as possible, and when he found out that that's why I was doing it, he got really, really hurt," Rachel frowned. "Of course he was hurt," Tina said. "Seriously Rachel, I mean how would you feel if he did that to you," I frowned a bit. "I know, I know, I feel terrible, and now I realize that I was just doing it for all the wrong reasons," Rachel sighed.

"Do you want my advice?" I asked Rachel who nodded. "Just wait," I told her seriously. "Just wait?" Rachel asked confused. "Look what happened to me," I said seriously. "You could have used protection," Tina said. "I'm not just talking about getting pregnant, I'm talking about losing something that you can never get back. It changes you. It makes everything more complicated," I said seriously. "I know what you're saying Quinn but who's going to feel more right for me than Finn?" Rachel frowned. "I disagree with Quinn. Losing my virginity was a great experience for me. Because I was with someone I love. It happened this summer. Mike and I talked about it for a while, because we knew the first time was gonna be something we'd wanna remember forever. And when that moment came, we just knew. It was right. It wasn't rushed. It was amazing. He's my first love, and I'll always look back at that moment as absolutely perfect. No regrets," Tina smiled.

I understood where Tina was coming from. Especially since she and Mike had been together for about a year. Rachel and Finn hadn't exactly been together that long yet. "Look Rachel, I'm not going to stop you if you truly feel that you and Finn are ready for this. I just know I wasn't ready when I lost my virginity. Yes my story is different from yours. Puck wasn't my boyfriend when it happened but I think you need to be sure this is what you both want and not just because of some role for a play," I told her seriously as she nodded. "Thanks girls. I really needed your advice," Rachel sighed. "We're here for you Rachel," Tina smiled. "Definitely," I smiled a bit as we all hugged feeling closer than before.

Before the show started that Friday night we had all pitched in to buy Artie some flowers for doing such an amazing job directing this play. We clapped for him as he received the flowers. "All of us were so nervous, and we didn't know what we were doing and you were like the lighthouse that led us the way," Tina smiled a bit. "But I don't know what I was doing either," Artie said shaking his head. "When you're in a chair, it's hard to ever feel like you've grown up. Everyone's always doing stuff for you, get freaked out about saying the wrong thing. So, they coddle you. Sometimes it's hard to ever picture a life of being totally self-sufficient. But directing you guys, the way you trusted me, the way you looked at me and listened to me. It was the first time in my life that I ever felt like a grown man," Artie said as we all smiled "It's the greatest gift you could give a guy, so - so thank you, guys. For the flowers, and for everything. Alright! Show circle," Artie said as we all got into a show circle. "May I, chief?" Puck asked as Artie nodded "Let's kick some ass!" Puck grinned as we all put our hands up as the show began.

During 'America' Artie had decided that the Jets should make an appearance. Mike and I linked arms as we rushed out to sing our part in 'America' with the other jets. "Long as you stay on your own side," we sang as the Sharks answered us back. "Free to wait tables and shine shoes," we sang as we then walked off preparing for the next number.

The shows were a smash success. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed the production. "Quinnie you were wonderful," my mom grinned hugging me tightly. "Aww thanks mom," I smiled a bit. "You're so welcome. I am so proud of you," my mom told me seriously. "I'm going to be heading to the cast party at Breadstix. So I'll see you later?" I smiled a bit. "Of course. Have fun," my mom said as I left to go to the cast party feeling accomplished in my performance.

"You were amazing out there," I heard a voice say behind me as I turned around to see Sam standing there with flowers. "Thank you," I smiled a bit taking the flowers "They're beautiful." "Just like you," Sam smiled a bit as did I. "I'm glad you convinced me to rejoin the Glee Club. I definitely felt like I was really missing something not being in the club," Sam sighed. "You're welcome," I said as we entered Breadstix together. "Well well if it isn't Trouty Mouth making his triumphant return," Santana smirked. "Hey Santana. I heard you quit New Directions," Sam said as Santana nodded. "Mhmm. I didn't want to be kept out of the spotlight, unlike the rest of you," Santana snarked at us. "Santana, save your comments about how much better your Glee Club is for someone who cares," I shot back at her. "Whatever. You know you guys are going to lose," Santana smirked as she walked off.

"Now I realized how much I haven't missed her," Sam chuckled as did I. "I know Santana has her ways but she can be a real friend when you need one," I said honestly. "Maybe to you or Brittany," Sam said. "She'll come around," I said seriously as Puck seemed to notice that I had arrived with Sam. "Well, well if it wasn't the boy who returned home. You know this is a cast party right?" Puck shot at Sam. "I invited him," I said narrowing my eyes at Puck "Last time I checked I'm a member of the cast aren't I?" Before Puck could speak Artie wheeled over. "Sam, I'm glad you could make it," Artie grinned. "Thanks Artie," Sam smiled a bit as Puck walked off seeming frustrated that Sam had returned.
