Chapter 29 - It Has To

Chloe's Pov:

I felt stick to my stomach. It isn't even possible to look away from the wall now. I can't help staring at it. I wish I could look away, the sight makes me want to vomit. Ruby's head, hung there. Lifeless.

I have been sat there, shivering with nervousness. Terrified of him bringing in his next victim.

Jacks Pov:

I walked down the street, my arm linked with jenn's, putting on a show. We had to draw him in somehow. He knows my face. He will want to hurt me, he has to.

I spotted him in the distance and it took all I had not to walk over there and rip his head off of his shoulders but I had to keep my cool. For Chloe.

I looked into jenn's eyes to see if she was ready. And she nodded with an uncertain look in her eyes. I leaned in to hug her and placed a small invisible tracker onto the back of her neck.

I waves goodbye before walking away from her. This better work. It has to.
