chapter 12

Melissa's P.O.V

I woke up to the sounds of Hailey's exciting bicker. When I looked around I saw we were almost to the castle and max was showing Hailey the town that surrounded the castle. It essentially consisted of werewolves but some humans also. I was honestly annoyed by Hailey's excitement now,

What is so exciting about a very large building made of bricks and has a lot of room?

Apparently, there must be something to get her so riled up, it's almost as if she was high on some weed..........wait! weed!

I slapped my forehead at the thought. Max and Hailey looked at me. But she still didn't stop.

"Omg look at that cute little cat. It looks so cute and look at the bird it is so small!"

"oh for the love of all that is holy! Hailey, did you eat the brownies from the pack house?"

"I didn't steal them! it was some guy who offered them!"

She then started laughing like she was crazy.

"hail....... You know what? I don't care. I can't take that much happiness in this car. Enjoy your mate max..... she's high on brownies!"

With that, I jumped out of the car that was parked outside the castle and shifted into my wolf. I ran and reached a cave I discovered as a child and hid inside. I laid down and drifted off to sleep.

Melissa's P.O.V  after a few hours.....

I woke up to the sounds of owls hooting in the distance. I cursed and got up somehow I shifted in my sleep and now I could feel the twigs and dust sticking to me. I dusted myself off and walked out of the cave.

The moon illuminated the forest with its silvery glow. I smiled to myself, the full moon always made me feel better. Earlier in the car, I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the happiness Hailey and Max were witnessing.

Why couldn't I have a mate like that? The one who loved me for me and not because I am queen!

I could hear Lilith whining in the back of my mind and all anger I felt vanished. I felt sorry for my wolf who had to feel the rejection because of me.

No! don't you dare feel that way, Lisa! You are the best human I could ever ask for, and more. You are the perfect mate for any guy. Unfortunately that dick of a mate we got didn't recognize it. Oh, I wish Lucifer tortures him in the darkest pits of hell.

I giggled at the little outburst Lilith had. Nonetheless, I felt proud of my wolf and I loved her more than anything else.

Aww! I love you too! Besides who needs a man in our life I think a kitten would fill in just fine if not better.

I giggled and practically fell on the floor in tears. It felt good to have someone support me and I had a feeling no matter what happened Lilith would never leave me.

Not even if you tried.

I smiled to myself before getting serious and walking off into the sunset......

Kidding I went back to the castle where I knew hell would be raised since I was out for so long. I sighed and enjoyed my last moments of peace before my evil family started yelling at me for running off. Damn should have just run off into the sunset when I had the chance.

well, here's the thirteenth chapter and i have a lot more to come but they will be a little slow since......."college"..........i'm starting to hate that word. to those who dont know... i'm almost seventeen and applying for medical college.......yeah.....no pressure.

anywho ignore my rant but don't forget to tell me your thoughts on this chapter..... creative and helpful criticism is allowed but don't downright be mean *pouts*. feel free to point out any mistakes I know there must be a lot cuz I'm too lazy to go back and edit what I have written.*shrugs* also tell me which character ya'll like so far...
