Melissa's P.O.V:
It's been almost two months since the coronation and so far things have been better. Even though I have been working my butt off I still love it. what was surprising was Danny's growth spurt along with his talking abilities. It was something of a surprise for everyone. one morning I wake up and Danny is a size too big and attempting to walk. I freaked out and rushed him to the doctor he assured me that it was a shifter thing, so I calmed down. By the next week he was running through the halls causing chaos and destruction.
Also one morning when I rolled over he was there sitting on my bed looking at me. Suddenly he smiled and said 'Mama'. I literally felt like I was about to pass out. Since then the only thing he has said is 'mama' and 'maxi'. To say Hailey, mom and the grandparents were pissed would be an understatement. They had been trying to make him say their names since the last month but he resisted when finally last week he relented and started saying 'Nonna' 'papa' 'momma' and 'hay hay'. He calls mom as momma, ma as Nonna, pa as papa and Hailey as hay hay. They practically flew to the moon when he said that. Even though they were ecstatic that Danny was saying their names I was sad that my baby was growing up so fast. He was now basically the size of a two year old.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Danny walk/stumble into the room. I laughed at the adorableness and held my hands out for him. he held on to them and pulled himself up on my lap. I placed a kiss on his cheek and clapped his hands.
"mama, sweep"
"I will baby after this last thing"
"no"
To say he has an attitude and anger problem is an understatement. He bosses everyone around and makes sure everyone does what he wants. Right now it was almost nine and he wanted to sleep, but since he can't sleep without me he wants me to leave my work to join him for bed. I laugh and pick him up to leave for my room. When I get there I place him on the bed, change his clothes and mine then go to sleep. Before I could, I get a mind link from mom.
"in two weeks, the fae ambassador will arrive at the castle with the acceptance of your rule."
"okay mom, love you"
"love you too sweetie"
I sigh and roll over cuddling next to a sleeping Danny. It's gonna be a long week.
