Chapter 37

Ethan's P.O.V:

I look at myself in the mirror for the thousandth time. I had woken up this morning not knowing what to do or how to act. Last night the sun god had visited in my dreams and told me all about my mate and her life. He told me how she was rejected because the first mate was a piece of shit that just wanted power. He told me how even after all she had went through she was still strong enough to take care of a whole kingdom and a small child. He showed me flashback of my mate on how she was rejected and found little Danny. He told me everything and also that all this had made her hard and how she didn't easily trust just anybody.

By the time he was done I was a crying sobbing mess. I didn't know how my precious mate could bare all that heart ache. I felt broken and I didn't even have to go through all of that. The sun god made me promise that I would fix her, That I would make her happy and the next thing I knew I was awake and when I saw the time I was late for breakfast and meeting my mate. I dressed as fast as I could in a dark blue V-neck and a pair of black jeans with my black sneakers. I ran as fast as I could towards the gym but stopped when I smelt the scents of two males. I slammed the doors open and what I saw made my blood boil. One male, the one I presumed was the queens mate before was holding her. He was holding my mate, my queen. I growled and I didn't know where the sound came from but I could feel a stinging sensation in my fingertips and refrained from wincing. When I looked down I saw I had wolf claws and my wolf that stayed dormant for almost all my life was awake and ready to kill the person touching my mate. It also didn't help that mate was snuggling in close to the guy's shoulder. Before I could make a move, another male, a vampire attacked me fangs and all and I started fighting. I was livid, I had to get to mate, and the one who was stopping me was an enemy. I fought with all I had and only stopped when mate came to stand in between us. I felt betrayed at first but then my heart swelled in pride when she asked him to leave us. I sniffed her hair that smelled like strawberries and held my arms around her waist. I didn't hear what the black haired man was saying not until he called mate his sister and them her brothers. My body relaxed and I held my mate even closer. Now that I had her in my arms I'd be darned if I let her get away.

As soon as the two males left the room my mate ran away from us and stood in the other corner away from our arms. Both my wolf and I whimpered and he looked up at the noise.

"why did you run away mate?"

"can we stop calling each other that, what is your name. my name is Melissa, you can call me Lisa."

"Well I am Ethan Kingsman and you can call me anything you want."

I almost laughed at her rosy cheeks but stopped when her eyes turned misty.

"I don't like this"

She said in a whisper. But I heard her and I felt my heart break. She didn't want me as a mate.

"you don't want us as mates."

I could hear the whimpering in my voice.

"NO.... I don't mean that......I mean....... I don't want to feel vulnerable like this around you..............look at me I became a worried almost crying mess when Dumont attacked you. I was willing to kill my brother for you. I don't want that. My family is all I have I won't lose them."

I couldn't help but start laughing. I pinned her to the wall when I saw her start to sniffle and think I was laughing at her. I burry my head in her neck close to where I would mark her. She shivered and I smirked and placed a kiss on her collar bone. When I moved away to see her face I saw her eyes were closed and she had a full blown blush on her cheeks. I smile and place a little kiss on her cheeks. I hear her breath hitch and whisper softly against her cheek.

"breathe love."

She exhales and starts breathing normaly. When she opens her eyes I gaze into her beautiful violet eyes that had hints of gold just like mine. I think it's our wolves. I trace the top of her cheek and she leans into my touch.

"I knew those eyes didn't suit you. You look beautiful with your beautiful violet eyes. I love the faint speck of gold in them. I can almost see your wolf. She must be just as pretty and strong as you."

I place a kiss between her eyes and she holds on the back of my shirt. Fisting her hands in the material.

"as for your son."

She stiffens at that but I continue.

"I knew I shared a connection that was more than a friendly one when I met little Danny. He has all your traits, you know. He looks like a complete copy of yours. I don't care if you have any more children from the past, just as long as you are willing to have all future children with me.

"does that mean you accept Danny and I? even though I am a queen and won't have much time to spare, since I stay in my office, Even if I have flaws that are more than any other female ever born. Even if I fall asleep in my office, more times than I do in my own bed, Even if I get up in the middle of the night because I get hungry for ice-cream, Even if I get angry on the smallest things like a random speck of dust on anything around me."

"it doesn't matter. None of those things do, If you are always stuck in your office, I'll come and cuddle you while you type on your laptop or give you a massage while you do paperwork. If you fall asleep in your office, I come and pick you and put you in our bed, or even fall asleep next to you in your office. If you ever get hungry in the middle of night I'll sneak to the kitchens and steal all the ice-cream tubs they have and share them with you till you are full and we fall asleep again. I'll be your personal maid and clean away the speck of dust that makes you angry and then kiss the living daylights out of you till you are not angry but too needy for me."

By the time I am done she had her face in my chest and I could practically feel the heat from her cheeks. I hold her still in content for more time before she says something that makes me pull back and kiss the living hell out of her. Just one little sentence and I was ready to give my life for hers.

"I Ethan Kingsman accept you Lilith king as my mate and my forever. I promise to be loyal and loving and caring and the best mate there could ever be. I promise to lay the whole worlds happiness at your feet and then some more."

"Do you really mean that?"

"kitten, I'd rather die than break any of those promises."

"thank you."

"I should be the one thanking you kitten. You gave me what I have always wanted. A family to call my own."

"whoa there I still didn't accept you. You will have to earn my trust and love. I don't go around giving it freely"

I nodded even though my heart pained at the thought of her rejecting me. I made my mind then.....i would die if it meant she was happy.
