The Knight in Shining Armor [One Piece X OC]

What!

Aphrodite's POV

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed beyond shock

He laughed whole heartingly as if expecting this kind of reaction from me "I know dear, it's hard to believe that I am the hero from the marines right?" Hands in front of my gaping face

I snapped out of my shock "What? I don't care if your a marine or hero or whatever, but is my last name really Dracule?!" I asked excited as stars were shining in my eyes

Garp as he says his name was is actually offended by my first sentence that he tried to throw several punches aiming for my head, but much to his shock I skillfully dodged every one of them. Honestly one of his punches could bury me deep into the ground. A kid probably couldn't survive one of them, but I am an exception.

So when did this happen? When did he actually adopt me? When I'm not looking? The first year?

"Don't ignore me! Brat!" the old man shouted while repeatingly trying to punch me, but to no avail

"Oh, old man when was I a Dracule?'' I asked him uninterested as I kept dodging his never-ending flurry of punched

"Ha! So I was right! You aren't the Swordsman's daughter after all'' he exclaimed in a matter of factly tone

"I am his daughter just not biological" gaining a tick mark

"So your Shank's brat then"

"Why'd you ask?"

"You look so much like him, almost like a mirror. Say brat what I wanted to tell you was that we would like to recruit you for the marines" he bluntly said

my jaw dropped "Seriously-"

"Let me explain and hopefully you'll understand. As you can see you are related to one of the Yonkous."

"And-"

"Don't interrupt me brat! Since you resemble each other a lot" pointing to my trademark red hair while I groaned "You'll at least have to become a future Shichibukai to keep the pirate world in check"

I raised my eyebrow "By 'keep the pirate world in check' do you mean prevent my old man from doing stupid things"

"Precisely, Just remember brat-"

"Aphrodite's fine" I said with a wave of dismissal. He noticed I was now far away from him in a distance that he could no longer see me

'When did she run off?'

Timeskip

"Only the upper part of my armor is complete and I have failed to think about any moves I can use. Just perfect" I grumbled rubbing my eyes

After hours of sleep I had finally woken up only accomplishing almost halfway through the progress of making my armor. Now I am walking towards the bar of where I last saw my dad. Now he was with the same boy that ran away from the old man.

"Ro, your back. Did you finish it yet" dad asked drunkly

''Why is it supposed to be easy making it with little to no imagination" I huffed 

"Aw I'm sure you'll be there in no time" he reassured

"As is" I scoffed

"Hey, my names Monkey D. Luffy! And I am going to be the King of the Pirates!" the small boy introduced himself as Luffy.

Turning my attention to him he looks to be about a year younger than me 'oh no' I immediately blushed brightly since I was socially awkward to anyone around my age - in other words kids. My dad found it amusing when I didn't find pirates and shichibukai's scary, but kids was really when I couldn't gather my thoughts together at all.

"D-dracculee Aaaphrodditee" I stuttered I could see dad's smirk in the background at my so called embarrassment towards something like this.

My dad just laughed and spat out his drink once he just heard what I said "What?"

"I-i believee you caaan achievee yourrr dream, Lluffy" I stuttered out completely ignoring the red haired pirate who sulked.

"Thanks, Aphrodetee" Luffy tried to pronounce, but failed miserably.

"It's Aphrodite" I sulked again this time not so nervous of Luffy anymore

Timeskip

During the short amount of time I have gotten rather close to Luffy he was always coming to visit my dad everyday in the bar while I either could be there or snoozing away due to the exhaustion of my power. One day it had been a terrible incident where Luffy got involved with some bandits at that time I was twice as more tired then I usually was. That day was also the tragic day my dad lost his arm. I came out and cried for the first time in a long time. At that moment I felt pain that I couldn't be there to protect Luffy. On that day I swore to Luffy in front of my dad that I will protect him.

Dad felt amused at this and then a thought brought a mischievous smirk onto his features, he put an arm around my shoulder and whispered hushly not letting Luffy hear "Hey Ro, I've never seen you so soft on someone like Luffy before, you usually would've kicked his butt for this, but this time- why not?"

I shrugged my shoulders at him "Just because...it's your choice to save Luffy which means you think he's good"

My dad rubbed his chin in a thinking way "Or maybe you have a crush on him"

"THAT"S NOT IT!" I shouted at him fuming but with my cheeks tainting pink

"Aw~ someone's in love~" dad started teasing me while I was coming up with different excuses about not loving Luffy "Ok, ok gee excuses" he mumbled under his breath

(insert Aphrodite banging her head cracking a random mountain angrily)

But then things were getting really sad. We were leaving, by that I mean that my dad wanted me to adventure with him and his crew I was excited to live with him again, but that meant I had to leave Luffy:

My dad gave Luffy his hat after he announced that he was going to become king of the pirates my dad smiled down at him then proceeded his way towards the ship.

"Hey Ro, do you promise that if we see each other again you'll join my crew right?" he asked hopefully afraid of the rejection he was thinking, just the thought made something inside of him made him feel a feeling an emotion he's never felt before

"Of course, it is a promise after all. I'll join your crew no matter. My loyalty will always stay with you, and if I disobey that promise I don't deserve your friendship." I said without hesitating holding my pinky out to him and he took it grinning like an idiot he is

"Bye, Ro. See you in the pirate world" Luffy said 

"see you later, Luffy" I said while walking away from him I could feel something stinging my eyes now, but I just ignore it and moved towards the Red Force.

"I love you, you annoy me more than I ever thought possible. But I want to spend every irritating minute with you."
