The Deal
I was dreaming about Damon Salvatore, right on the brink of kissing him, when my dad rudely barged in, instantly shattering the fantasy. Great going, Dad.
He walked into my room, wearing his usual annoyed expression, completely oblivious to the fact that he had just ruined the most important moment of my dream.
"Will you get out of bed and answer the door?" My dad's voice was gruff. "I was in the shower, and even I could hear someone pounding on the damn door."
"Alright, Dad, don't get your knickers in a twist," I mumbled, stifling a yawn as I sat up in bed. I kicked the covers off and stretched my legs, the familiar ache in my muscles reminding me how much I hated mornings. With a groan, I stood up, ready to make my way downstairs and deal with whatever disruption had the nerve to wake me up.
I hopped downstairs, the knocking growing louder with each passing second.
"Calm the hell down, will you?" I muttered under my breath, annoyance bubbling up. "Some of us were trying to sleep, you inconsiderate, annoying—"
I swung the door open, cutting off my own insult, and froze.
There stood West, his usual smirk in place as if he hadn't just interrupted my precious sleep.
I felt his eyes rake over me, taking in every inch, before his gaze flicked back to mine with that infuriating smirk plastered across his face.
"Nice pyjamas, baby girl," he purred, his voice smooth like velvet. "What did I do to deserve this little treat?"
I clenched my jaw, resisting the urge to roll my eyes. The last thing I needed was for him to think he could throw me off balance so easily. But despite my best efforts, a wave of irritation swept through me.
I glanced down, and instantly, my face flushed. I was only wearing an old, baggy top that used to belong to Miles and a pair of thong underwear.
The top barely reached past my waist, leaving my toned, tanned legs on full display for him.
A shocked yelp escaped my lips as I scrambled behind the door, trying to shield myself from his lingering gaze, my heart pounding in my chest.
He started laughing, which was so rare coming from him, it threw me off guard.
"Anyway," West continued, a grin still playing on his lips. "I came to pick you up and take you back to the house. We've got some things to discuss, and you also need to start training."
My eyes went wide. "Training? What do you mean, training?"
"Just get dressed, and we'll explain when we get there." His eyes flicked over me again, that mischievous smirk never leaving his face. "Unless you want to go like that. I'm sure me and the others won't complain."
I shot him a glare. "Shut up, West. Alright, I'll get ready. Just give me ten minutes. I'll meet you in the car."
With that, I slammed the door and ran upstairs. So much for a relaxing Sunday.

"FRECKLES!" Callum's voice rang out, and I couldn't help but laugh at the nickname he'd given me. It had been so long since I'd seen any of them.
Without thinking, I ran up to him, wrapping my arms around him in a tight squeeze. He lifted me slightly off the ground, the familiar warmth of his embrace making me feel like no time had passed at all.
"I missed you," I whispered, a smile tugging at the corners of my mouth.
"I missed you too," Callum grumbled, his voice low as he whispered in my ear. "Do you know how boring these guys are? Always so damn serious."
