Harvey enters the room interrupting the moment both Daisy and Timothée were having. Although they were silent, it was a comforting silence and Harvey barging in made the two of them uncomfortable. 'Hey, birthday girl. Everyone is waiting for you downstairs.' He says a smile on his face, one that Daisy rarely ever gets to see.
She knew Harvey had been trying his best to sober up but she still wasn't going to fall for the 'I'm completely clean' act, she knew that if she had too much hope he'd slip up again and break her heart. Nonetheless she gave him a warm smile letting him know she will be down in a minute.
Once Harvey leaves she turns towards Timothée who looks frightened. 'I'm so fucking thankful he didn't walk in on us earlier.' Timothée says, and Daisy let's out a laugh at the image of her brother walking in on her and Timothée kissing. It was priceless.
'He would not be happy.' Daisy claims receiving a hum of agreement from Timothée who knew her brother's well enough to know that they were overly protective of their younger sister.
'By the way, that's not the only present I got you. I actually bought you something.' Timothée says heading for the pile of presents and searching for his own. Daisy gasps. 'No Timothée please don't. Your gift was more than enough I mean it.' But Timothée dismisses her and pulls out the box.
Daisy didn't need presents, she had everything she could have asked for. Her parents were generous to say the least therefore, she refused to ask for things because one way or another they were going to get handed to her at some point. Whether it was on her birthday, or during the holidays or even just on random occasions her parents were very good gift givers.
When Timothée handed the box over to her she couldn't help but tear up a little. 'I can't accept this.' She says looking at the brand printed in big letters on the box. Timothée shakes his head. 'Well you will because I got it customized just for you.' Daisy tries protesting again but Timothée wins and eventually he is able to convince her to open the box.
She opens it slowly and finds a necklace inside. It had an archer on it, the symbol for a Sagittarius and the letter D in cursive. It was gold and Daisy couldn't help but smile at his thoughtful gift. 'You really shouldn't have but thank you Timothée.' She pulls him in for a tight hug and he accepts, wrapping his arms tightly around her.
Once they pull away he holds the two sides of the necklace up and places it on her neck closing it as Daisy holds her hair up for him to be able to see. 'Does it look nice?' Daisy asks, flaunting her necklace. Timothée nods.
'Very.'

The rumble of the music fills Daisy's eardrums as she enters the bathroom after having danced her heart out for a good few minutes. She takes a moment to let out a breath. Although she was happy Timothée finally admitted his feelings towards her, there was still a part of her that was afraid and thinking well, what now?
They had just spent so much time being friends that it felt like taking a big step to being more than that would be, complex. And Daisy was not the biggest fan of complex things, especially when she couldn't control or understand them.
She finally gathers up the courage to exit the restroom and join her friends on the dance floor. Skylar and Josh are having a blast, dancing like they were the only two people in the room, Pierre found himself a cute girl to flirt with and Timothée was seated on the couch, looking quite nervous.
Daisy makes her way towards him, taking a seat on the couch. 'Hey.' She says addressing her presence. He manages to send her a warm smile but Daisy senses something isn't right. 'What's wrong? Did something happen?' Daisy asks placing a hand on his cheek trying to focus his attention on her.
Timothée takes a good look at her, sorrow on his face. 'Look, tonight has been so amazing.. it went better than I expected. I mean I thought you were going to hate me and friend zone me but it turns out you feel the same way and that's great but..' Daisy furrows her eyebrows.. she couldn't see what was so bad about the situation.
'But?' She asks awaiting his response.
'But can we keep it a secret.. just for a bit until we get everything sorted out. I don't really want people to know just yet.' Daisy lets out a sigh of relief. She had expected something horrible but Timothée just wanted their relationship to stay private and she respected that.
She wasn't planning on telling anyone anyways. The only person she would have told was Skylar but now she had to eliminate that from her mind. 'Of course, private it is.' Daisy says pulling him in for a hug and he gladly accepts holding her close.
'Happy birthday.' He whispers in her ear.
