Friday night I sat in my room watching music videos. Completely bored not knowing what to do. As I was just about to turn off my tv, my phone rang. Checking the caller I.D, a picture of Vonté popped up.

"Hey Vonté." I said, as a huge smile spread across my face.

"Hey baby girl. What you doin?"

"Nothing much, watching videos, bored as hell."

"Me too. Look, I was hoping we could hang out tomorrow. You know, with some of my friends. "

I would love to hang out with him but I don't know if I wanna be around his friends. Being the only girl and all.

"Uhhh...yeah that's cool. Am I going to be the only girl?" I asked while turning off my tv.

I could almost see it now. Me walking around looking cute, yet hanging with 20 guys looking like a hoe.

"Naw. My friend Josh is bringing his girl too. It's only going to be a few of us."

I guess I'm Vonté's girl. Somewhat?

"Oh, ok that's cool then. Where are we going?"

"Meet us at Rose Lake mall...and we're going to the movies. We're meeting at 3:30"

"Ok. I'll be there."

"Good. Bye baby girl"

"Bye Vonté"

We hung up and I couldn't be more excited. Leaping out of bed, I made my way to my closet to find something to wear. About 20 minutes of looking I still didn't know what to wear, walking away from my closet, I made my way to my MacBook. Sitting down at my desk, I logged into my Tumblr to get some juices flowing. As I searched many blogs for help, my phone rang again. Thinking it was Vonté I jumped from my seat and hurriedly answered the phone without checking who it was.

"What do you want Vonté?" I said in the sassiest voice I could muster.

"Uhh...this isn't Vonté. It's Ryan."

I mentally and physically face palmed myself feeling utterly stupid.

"Shit. I'm sorry Ryan." Sitting down at my computer once again.

"No it's straight. Do you want me to call back later?" His voice sounded strained.

"No, I can talk. What's up?"

"Well...I wanted to see if we could do my packet tomorrow. If you're not busy."

"Sorry...I have plans tomorrow. I feel like a complete jerk now. Calling you someone else's name, then telling you I can't help you tomorrow. What a bitch I am..." His deep voice chucked through the phone.

"Don't beat yourself up about it. It's Saturday, I understand."

Having him be so nice knowing most people would still be bitching about it, I had to come up with something.

"....I'm hanging out at 3:30, so maybe in the morning around 8:00-8:30 we can meet. Then end at like 12:00 or something." I said while finally finding an outfit.

"That's perfect, 8:30 to 12:30. Where should we meet?"

His question lost me, I didn't know where the hell to meet. Thinking hard, straining my poor brain, I still had no Idea.

"Truthfully, I don't know."

"Where can we go where we can just hang out and it's not loud?"

Standing up from my seat, I slowly walked toward my closet.

"A park? I don't know"

"The park would be cool. What park?"

Flipping through clothes I answered.

"Where do you live? We can pick a park in the middle."

"I live in Grosse Pointe."

"I live near Grosse Pointe....fuck this park stuff. We're meeting at that Starbucks on Mack."

He softly laughed before responding.

"Ha...ok that's good. We were probably being extra with that park stuff."

"Hecky yeah! Look, how would I look with black leggings, some Chucks or Vans, and a crop sweatshirt?"

For a moment he didn't respond, just silence.

"Hello? Ryan?!"

"Yes...sorry. Uhhh....you'll look good." His voice didn't sound convincing at all.

"Ok, be truthful with me. I won't be mad, will I look weird?" I said while laying the clothes across my bed.

"No. You'll probably look sexy as fuck...I mean you have a nice body & a big butt. You can do it."

My heart fluttered a little, but I didn't know why.

"Thanks Ry...but I don't have a big butt at all." He smacked his lips.

"Yes you do."

"No, I don't. It just pokes out a little."

"Yes, You do. I mean the Soccer and Volleyball is deff workin in your favor."

I didn't know what to say and soon an awkward silence came over us.

"Sooo.....what kinda sweatshirt are you wearing?" He asked randomly.

"This violet 'New York' one. It kinda looks like I cut it myself, you know into a crop top."

"Yeah. And what shoes?"

"It's between my black & white high top Chucks and my grayish Vans with violet shoe strings." I said while holding both shoes up to the outfit.

"...Wear the Vans. You always wear those Chucks?"

I thought no one noticed and plus he watches what I wear?

"Have you been watching me Mr.Lucket? They're my favorite shoes and I thought no one noticed." I said, my voice lanced in amusement.

"I notice everything....I gotta go." He said in a low tone.

I didn't wanna hang up, I wanted to talk to him longer. I don't wanna beg but....

"Do you really have to go? I want to talk to you more." I couldn't help but pout.

"....Yeah I do. I'll see you tomorrow." He said hesitantly. Maybe he didn't want to hang up.

"Ryan? Are you sure?"

"Yes! I have to go." He yelled at me.

I grasped silently, not wanting him to hear my reaction.

"Ok, Well bye." I responded lowly, almost whispering.

"I'm sorry Macken-"

"Bye." I hung up ASAP.

Throwing the phone on the bed I hung my clothes on my closet door. Made sure I picked out everything I was wearing, and flipped off my light switch. I couldn't understand what Ryan meant by he "noticed everything" and the fact he just totally yelled at me for wanting to talk to him. I didn't fully understand but what I did get is that he obviously doesn't want to be my friend or even talk to me. So, I'll just help him with this packet and be done with talking to him.
