VERY IMPORTANT:
please please please, i started writing this book over a year ago. some of my old oneshots are hoRribly written and have horrendous plots. so PLEASE skip until some of my later works. i think the shots when i stop using uppercase letters are a lot more well written ( you can tell if they're in lowercase based on the titles! )so i'd recommend reading those first!

Disclaimer: I will tell u when I have made the fan art! Plus, it'll be rlly bad, so you'll be able to tell. Anyways, on to the OneShot! ❤️❤️❤️

Richies P.O.V:
I sprinted as fast as my battered legs would allow, pushing past the heavy ran. I squinted, my glasses becoming foggy from the rain pelting down on me. I breathed heavily, my shaky inhaled uneven and raspy. I needed to get out of the rain. Out of there.
" RICHIE!" I heard that sickening voice yell from far behind me. I tried to speed up, only to nearly slip on the wet road. I continued running down the street, attempting to wipe my glasses in hopes of getting a sense of direction. I swiped the rain away, only for it to take its place on my lenses immediately after. My breath quickened, making my lungs burn. I kept running. Like hell I'm getting caught by- I slipped on one of my undone laces, my body toppling over. I made no attempt to hold myself up, allowing myself to go limp as exhaustion caught up with me. I head hit the ground like a ton of bricks, a dark slumber taking over.

~ TIME JUMP ~

I jolted upright, my head pounding. I groaned, squeezing my eyes shut. I moved my head into my hands, laying back down in... in a bed? I opened my eyes, gently turning my pulsing head to look around the room. I would've recognized it anywhere: the baby blue walls, the subtle yellow bedsheets, the freshly washed looking everything. The boy sitting in a small desk chair confirmed my suspicions. The boy smiled, although his doe-like eyes displayed sadness. I blinked a few times. I was in Eddies room.
" Hey Richie." He said, pulling his chair over next to my bed. He sat beside me as I closed my eyes, sighing deeply. Shit. " What happened?"
" Why don't you tell me?" I said, attempting to avoid the question. " How'd I get here?" I asked, opening one of my tired eyes to look at him. He was still smiling sadly.
" I heard a loud scream outside. I looked out my living room window, and you were laying on the road. So, I ran outside, and dragged you in. You should be thanking me you know: I went outside in the rain without a jacket or umbrella. I could've caught so many illnesses!" He exclaimed. I sighed, although I forced a weak smile. One, I didn't feel like thanking him. Him being here just meant me dragging him into my problems and having to tell him what happened. No way in hell I was doing that.
" Fine Fine. Thanks Eddie spaghetti." I said, forcing a grin when he scoffed loudly.
" Shut up." He said, before his facial expression softened. " You feeling alright? You still don't look too hot." He said worriedly. I hid the pulsing in my head pretty well.
" Excuse me, but I think I'm very hot." I said, to which Eddie laughed and rolled his eyes.
" Not what I meant. Seriously though." He said, genuinely concerned. I nodded.
" Yah yah I'm-" my head pulses extra hard, making me grit my teeth "... Fine." I said between clenched teeth. Eddie frowned.
" Does your head hurt? I can get you a painkiller or something." He said. I tried to reach for his hand, immediately withdrawing when another wave of pain zapped my head. I felt my energy drain, leaving me limp in Eddies bed. I fluttered my eyes, struggling to keep them open.
" No no, Ed's, I don't need it." I said, groaning again from how loud my voice sounded. It had really only been less then a whisper.
" No Richie. I'll be right back." He said. I used my weakening strength to nod, hearing as he closed the door behind him. My hands immediately went to my head, massaging the temples in attempt to ease the pain. It did little to nothing. I rubbed more forcefully, beginning to hurt my head even more. " Richie, don't do that. Here." I opened my eyes, seeing Eddie standing next to his bed with a glass of water and two small red tablets. I gulped. I was never much good at taking pills.
" Thanks Eddie- ow." I said, squeezing my eyes shut when the pain increased. I felt Eddie open my weak hand, placing the tablets in it. I opened my eyes again, looking at the small tablets. I used my limited strength to place one in my mouth, deciding I had a better change at swallowing them if I did it one at a time. Eddie held out the glass cup, which I graciously took. I held the glass in my two shaky hands, gulping down three mouthfuls. I felt the pill go down, making my throat clench. I grimaced, moving the glass from my mouth and placing the second pill on my already dry tongue. I swallowed it down, my throat feeling tight. I breathed heavily, holding the glass out to Eddie with shaky hands. He smiled sadly, taking it and placing it on my bedside table.
" You'll start to feel better soon." He said in barley a whisper. I tried to nod, but my neck felt awfully stiff. I settled with a small grunt, exhaling and closing my heavy eyelids. " Rich?" I hummed in response, not feeling the strength to talk.
" What happened?" Eddie asked. I felt his fingers trace over my hand, making me jump. A sharp pain erupted in my skull, making me groan and hold my head. Eddie withdrew his hand. " Sorry..." he said. I mumbled under my breath, trying to say I was okay. Eddie gently took my hand again, since I was prepared for it this time. I grimaced though, pain shooting through my palms. Eddie gently turned my hand over. I opened one eye, eyeing my hand. The skin was raw and red on my palms. They probably got cut when I'd fallen over. Eddie stood up from his small desk chair, leaving the room quietly again. He returned moments later with a small bowl and some cloths. I closed my eyes once he sat down beside me, wanting to make sure he was safely here again. He hummed quietly, making me relax, as he kicked up one of my hands. I felt him gently dab a cloth over it, making me sneer.
" Eddie, you don't have to-"
" No Richie. You're hurt. Let me help." He said, gently wrapping my exposed flesh. I sighed, deciding to be grateful for my little friend. " I would appreciate knowing what happened though..." he said, washing my other palm. I opened my heavy eyes, blinking a few times to adjust.
" Nope." I whispered, not wanting to make my excruciating headache any worse. Eddie sighed.
" Please Rich? I wanna make sure you don't need any medical attention." He said, pining sticking the bandage down on my last hand.
" Fine." I huffed, still barley a whisper. " I was outside, on a run, and I fell." I said, closing my tired eyes. Eddie sighed.
" Rich, you don't expect me to believe that, do you? It's pouring outside, and you never work out." He said. I laughed, although it was airy and held no humour.
" Touché." I said, making Eddie giggled quietly. He suddenly stopped, which made me open my eyes a crack. Eddie was staring at a particular spot on my face.
" Ed's what."
" Shush." He said, grabbing a dry cloth from his bedside table. He dabbed it under my nose, making me hella confused.
" Ed's what're you-"
" I said Shush." He said, making me sink back into his bed. I clenched my eyes shut when I another sharp pain shot through my head. I opened one a crack, seeing him pull a crimson red cloth away from my face. " You have a nosebleed." He whispered, turning the bloody side of the cloth away from us and dabbing the clean end on my face. I groaned, my stomach starting to churn uncomfortably. My head, stomach and neck were all killing me. I wanted to fall unconscious so I wouldn't have to deal with it. " Richie please. You have to tell me what happened."
" I thought you didn't want me to talk." I grumbled, probably sounding more harsh then I meant to be. Eddie huffed.
" Richie seriously. You're not well. I think I should call the hospital or something." He said. I shook my head, my neck and head immediately regretting it.
" Not Ed's. No no I'm fine-" I stopped, my stomach giving an awful gurgle. I groaned, knowing what was coming next. " Shit." I grumbled, throwing the thick duvet off my sweaty body. I stood up, my neck sore and my head pushing unbearably. I hobbled out of Eddies room.
" Richie! Get back in here!" Eddie yelled. It made my head pulse even more, but all I could focus on was my churning stomach. I reached the bathroom, throwing open the door and sinking to my knees. I crawled over to the toilet, leaning over and grabbing onto the toilet seat. I hurled everything in my stomach out into the toilet bowl, filling the room with unpleasant splattering and coughing sounds. I dry heaved a few times, my eyes clenched shut. I sighed, falling with my back against the wall. I tried to regain my heavy breath. The pains in my neck and head and even my nose were becoming too unbearable. Now my throat and stomach were stinging too. Eddie surprised me by sliding down the wall next to me, cupping my face gently. Eddie never went near germs, and now he was touching the face of someone who had just thrown up. I was beyond shocked. However, everything was killing me. I felt myself teetering on the edge of unconsciousness. " Richie look at me. What. Happened." He commanded. I shook my head, breathing heavily through my mouth. " Richie please! I have to know!" I gulped, closing my mouth.
" Bowers, he... he found out..." I said in barley a whisper. I slumped further on the wall, letting myself go limp. Eddie shook my face gently.
" Richie, stay with me. What'd he find out?" He said, his doe-like eyes full of worry. I closed my eyes, beginning to fall under.
" He found out... that I'm gay." The last word was barley audible, as I felt myself fall asleep.

~ TIME JUMP ~

My nose was itchy. I scrunched it up, wiggling it around. I fluttered my eyes open, looking up at my nose. One of my unruly dark curls was being forced down by something, making it tickle my nose. I reached one of my tired arms up, tucking the curl away. I felt my head, feeling a huge bandage entwining it. I groaned, a slight ache in the back of my head. I scratched my nose, turning my head slightly. I saw Eddie sitting in the arm chair on the other side of the small hospital room. His eyes were glued to the floor, his mouth scrunched up, as he tapped his foot on the floor. I groaned again, louder this time, to let him know I was awake. I tried to roll over, however Eddie ran over and out his arms on me.
" No Richie don't... don't do that." His voice weakened at the end, letting me know something was wrong.
" What happened Ed's?" I asked, looking around. I couldn't remember much, besides falling over outside and hitting my head. Hard.
" You don't remember?" He said, worry in his words. I had a feeling it was more then just about my physical state. " So you don't remember... what you said to me?" I frowned, knitting my brows together as I tried to remember. Maybe I'd seen Eddie in between that.
" Um, no." I said. Eddie gulped, visibly paling. I reached out grabbing one of his small hands. He flinched, but didn't pull away. I forced a grin.
" Sorry if I said something stupid. You know me. Trashmouth Tozier." I joked, trying to lighten the mood. It didn't work. Eddie shook his head.
" No, that's not it Richie. It's that you didn't say something stupid for once." That's when it came back, like a brick to the face. I told Eddie that I was gay. I pulled my hand away, suddenly feeling awkward. Very very awkward.
" Sh-shit... um, Ed's I... I..." I couldn't figure out what to say. What do you say to that?
" How did Henry find out Richie?" He asked, standing rigidly beside my bed. I felt my head begin to sweat under the tight bandages. My head pulsed again. I felt my throat tighten.
" Um, well, he was saying some hateful things, and, um, I said some things, and he just kinda figured it out." I mumbled, averting my gaze to my bandages hands. I remembered Eddie wrapping them, who knows how long before. I also remembered Henry yelling homophobic slurs at two guys across the street. I also remember me tackling him, saying you can't talk to us like that. Way to put yourself Richard. I gulped, Eddie only visible in the corner of my eye.
" Rich I-"
" Eddie, I get it if you don't wanna be friends. I really do. But please, you don't need to say it." I said, feeling tears sting at my tired eyes. " I don't think I'd be able to take that today." Eddie scoffed.
" Oh my god. You're an idiot." He said. I was shocked, to say the least. I knew Eddie would be repulsed, but not that much. I looked up at him, a tear falling down my cheek. Eddie held laughed a humorless laugh, before leaning over and capturing his lips in mine. I was beyond taken aback. My heart pounded as much as my head, which was a lot. Eddie eventually pulled away, standing up again and tugging on the neck of his shirt.
" Ed's-"
" I've been giving you hints forever you simpleton. I had to take my shot." He said, a blush creeping up his round cheeks. I grinned.
" Actually, I was just going to say you just kissed a person who just vomited and has dry blood on their lips." I said, laughing when Eddie paled. He just grinned sheepishly.
" Shut up."

Hehe hope it was goooood ❤️
