my last minute studying one sunny sunday afternoon for my algebra test the next day was interrupted by a loud ping from my cellphone. i sighed, deciding i'd been studying for a long time anyways and deserved a little mental health break. i spun around in seat, jumping up from my desk chair, and plopping down on my back on my bed.

i got comfortable on top of my plush covers as i reached for my shiny iphone xr. mommy always insisted that i had to have the latest model of phone, saying it was imperative i didn't have an old one incase it stopped working and i couldn't call her in an emergency. and believe me, everything counted as an emergency to sonia kaspbrak.

i clicked the smooth on button, looking over all my messages. a few snaps, from random people at school who wanted to start streaks by the looks of it. and one imessage, from none other then richie trashmouth tozier. i clicked on the notification, loading my fingerprint in as my imessages loaded.
