When we rang the door bell we heard barking from the other side of the door after a few seconds a lady who looked in her mid thirties opened the door with a bright smile on her face along with a very hyper dog beside her.

The lady had her hair is a high ponytail and she  was wearing jeans and a top, she looked about 5 feet and a few inches tall, she had hazel brown eyes and brown hair.

"Hello Katie, John!" She greets my parents.

She turned to Brian, Sophia and I and gave us all a really tight hug.

"Oh you must be Brian, Ava and Sophia" she states.

"Please come in, come in!" She welcomes us in.

When we walk in, their house is exactly like ours except for the furniture obviously.

The dog came up to me and sat beside my feet and looked up at me with excitement. I stared at the dog and pet its stomach, the dog then got up and licked my hand.

"Oh how rude of me, I completely forgot to introduce myself!, I'm Ann by the way " Ann says.

"And that is our dog Cola, he isn't really friendly with visitors coming into the house but I think he likes you, Ava" Ann chuckles.

"Blake, Rose, Jackson come down, the neighbours have arrived!" Ann yells.

After a few minutes a guy who looks in his mid thirties enters into the living room with a girl who I am guessing is Rose.

The man has blond curly hair and electric blue eyes, he looked about 6 feet tall.

The girl had brown hair And hazel coloured eyes, she was just a bit taller than her mom.

"Hey guys! It's so nice to finally meet you, I'm Jackson and this is my daughter Rose" the man who's name I have now learned is Jackson says.

We all sat down in the living room my mom and dad sat on one sofa, Ann and Jackson sat on a love seat, Brian and Sophia sat on another sofa so that left me to sit on a sofa by myself.

Everyone was having their own little conversation while I was being an awkward person and just stared at a wall.

While I was in my own little world I felt one side of the sofa dip down, I turned my head to the right and saw Rose sit beside me.

"Hey" I say.

"Hey, so since you just moved to California, you're going to start a new school, what school are you going to?"

"Uh—I think the name of the school is Eastside high school? I don't remember the name" I say.

"Oh my god! Really?! My brother and I go to the same school, maybe you could hang out with us, we could also drop you to school if you like" she says.

"Oh wow that's great, I would love to but I can drive my—" I was cut off by the sound of feet thumping down the stairs.

"Oh Blake! What took you so long?!" Ann yells at the boy.

The boy who I have now come to know is Blake looked to be about few inches taller that 6 feet
He had curly blond-ish brown hair and electric blue eyes, if I was standing a mile away I would still be able to make out the colour of his eye.

He looked ready to leave for something, he was wearing black jeans and a plain white shirt.

"Sorry, Jeez I was taking a shower" Blake says.

"Well then, won't you greet your new neighbours?" Jackson ask.

"Hey new neighbours nice meeting you, but I really need to go, bye" Blake says and plasters on a fake smile. He then heads for the door but was stoped by Ann pulling his ear and forcefully making him sit down of the sofa beside me because that was the only seat left.

And as short Ann is compared to Blake, she still looked like she holds authority around this house.

"Now you will sit here and talk to your neighbours, and you will not leave this house. At. All." She glares at her son.

To be honest I was kind of scared of Ann now...

Blake looked unfazed though, he just sighed, leaned back on the sofa, removed his phone and didn't talk to anyone.

"I'm sorry about that Ava, he just really has some problem when it comes to meeting people, he hates interacting with anyone except for his friends" Rose whispers to me.

"You know I can hear everything you're saying right?" Blake says still not looking up from his phone.

"Well...Blake introduce yourself" Rose said a little bit annoyed.

"Nah, I'm good" he said, not looking up from his phone for even a second.

Rose let's out an annoyed huff and snatched Blake's phone from his hands.

"HEY! GIVE IT BACK YOU TURD!" Blake yells.

"Nope, not until to talk to everyone in this room" Rose said with a smirk on her face.

"Ugh Rose, just give back my fucking phone!" Blake said with annoyance in his voice.

"I will not give it back until you talk to everyone" Rose said.

"No" he said and crosses his arms over his chest.

Oh wow I though that I was a stubborn person but I guess Blake beat me to that cause damn he is one hell of a stubborn child.

"What did you say?" Blake looks—no scratch that—glares at me.

did I say that out loud?

"Yeah you did, and I agree with you, Blake is one stubborn child" Rose chuckles.

She then gets up and starts running up the stairs with Blake chasing after her.

"These kids" I hear Ann and Jackson say at the same time.

Since I had nothing to do and I was really bored I decided to play with Cola the dog.

This is going to be one long day.
