Love within a broken world (Puro x Lin Fanfic [CONTAINS SPOILERS])

The Catastrophe

A question surfaced.

We were laying on the rooftop looking into the zenith which I was explaining to Colin about the old religions and beliefs surrounding the constellations, and the sun and moon. With that question, I kept wondering what life was like surrounded by humans. I was hungry for knowledge.

If I could build a time machine, I would..

I picked up an odd sulfuric smell, then I heard the door to the roof slam open.

There she was, but her disturbing conspicuousness was ever so stronger. She laughed.

"What are you guys doing up here? I thought you guys left! Very well then. Your doom is near anyway." I rolled to my stomach, meanwhile, Lin stood up.

"What do you mean?" Lin asked, his voice bared some anger.

I saw her holding a a small box. She began to laugh maniacally. "You guys are trapped here. I blocked all the exits and I'm going to burn this down!"

Lin wasn't able to believe the truth he was faced with. But I believed it fully.

"Oh and for you Puro!" She threw me to the ground with great strength where I heard a snap, some of my kin say, it was the snap of death, where my mask is damaged beyond repair.

Time was short, reality was fading, I became fully blind.

It was a moderately sized building, not as big as the lab, yet, it if you were to fall, it would of been fatal. But, that was not the point. We needed to leave anyway possible.

Puro was dieing, the building was ablaze, and crumbling apart, meanwhile this psychopathic cat was laughing her ass off.

I then heard a sound I haven't heard in ages. A chopper. The cat pounced on me, and threw me to the ground, then with a quick blow to the head, I was out.

I awoke to a snap, then a larger one, everything started going sideways. I felt something grab my arm, I look up, my heart went to my throat.

It was Puro. His white eyes looked into mine. He was very weak, and almost falling apart.

"Whatever is going to happen to us, I'm so sorry.." His voice was faint. but I heard it clearly.
