"Forget me... Now is not the time to mourn. You have a future to save, old friend." In the darkness I saw Sauci's red form, he was rather terrifying.

I awoke with a scream, gasping.

"Que se passe-t-il!?"I looked around, the place I was in was a dark room, laying next to me was Puro, on the other side of this glass wall. [Yes I did use Google Translate, please don't kill me TFD]

It dawned on me. I was somehow shut off... Puro was still unconscious.

Wait.. By what I know... Only Protogens can turn each other off.... Is there others here? I thought to myself.

I wonder where Colin went?

I began to regain consciousness, as the rage grew unfathomably worse. Within the haze there were sounds of people talking, but I wasn't sure what they were saying... 

I managed to open my eyes, and a red headed woman met my blurry gaze. 

I was on this metal table, in only white shorts, and my entire body felt numb. What were they doing?!

Her blue eyes met mine, my vision cleared, and she looked like she was in her 50s.

"Hello, young man.. We found you outside being stalked by a couple of monsters. We're just gathering samples of your DNA quickly, and you'll be a newfound resident here, since you are fertile." I got shivers down my back.. I didn't even want to ask how..

I sat up, promptly and looked around, the technology in the room was rather advanced, almost like futuristic technology in some sci-fi shows or movies I've seen.

"Now, tell me your name." 

"My name is Colin, last name, I'm not s-"

"Colin Desmond Eskivel!" My eyes grew wide. "I was a part of the investigation, and well... Hiding you. I fully regret that, I was only doing the job for money- I swear. Fortunately those bastards turned into puddles of latex."

"Fucking bitch." I said under my breath. She turned to me. "Feel free to insult me if you wish. But in a different sense, if it wasn't for me, we wouldn't have met right here and now. You wouldn't have survived the outbreak, you would have died along with mostly everyone else on this planet.." Her serious, icy blue eyes looked into mine.

"What about my mother?" I asked. She stayed quiet..

"Neutralize him." She said after a moment.

"As you wish, Emma." A robotic voice replied. A sudden wave of fear struck over me as I felt a sharp, stabbing pain enter my back. 

My mind grew clear, yet there is a distant feeling of dread, or sadness or something. Then I tried to remember anything, I wasn't able to, almost like my very existence drifted from me. I then fainted.

Coming to, I was in a different bed, one far more conformable.

"Call me Emma, for I am your friend." She told me as she head to the door.

"Hi Emma." I said automatically.

My mind was blank, within the distant fear, I felt, I didn't know what was going on. Then it dawned on me. 

I forgot everything.
