Love within a broken world (Puro x Lin Fanfic [CONTAINS SPOILERS])

Unfathomable Hospitality

[AN: God, I've been so sick, sorry whomever reads this for breaking my promise of last night. I'll make up to you guys with some epicness ok?]

[Puro]

Today and yesterday was rather challenging. One, I was away from my love, and two, for hours on end, that Saucious guy had me do quite a bit of physical activity. I had to run miles each day, and lift heavy things like weights and such. Now I come back to humans trying to kill me, and my love unconscious? Wow, this sucks. 

I almost miss the times where it was just my love and I wandering the wilderness. But, I now acknowledged the fact that if it wasn't for them, he would not have been in my arms at this moment. And now, I know that things are falling into place.

I arrived back to the cabin, where the white haired lady met me with a screech, meanwhile, the darker haired man glared at me like before. 

Lin began to stir in my arms, his face was pale, yet his said to be sapphire eyes glittered brightly in the sunlight.

"Luigi...? Puro..? May...?" His voice was quiet, yet legible. 

"What did you do to him?" May's voice began to grow stern. Luigi shook his head in discomfort. 

"He.. saved me.. numerous times, please for god sake, respect Puro." Lin's voice almost escalated to a yell, as he escaped my arms. 

He was almost a foot shorter than whom I guess is Luigi, the tall dark haired human, and almost half a foot shorter than May, I believe her name was. If I were still in my old way of thinking, I would have found Luigi a better host than Lin, but, with the situation I'm in now, that would be greatly unreasonable.

I grabbed some bandages and a cloth, wiped his left arm, and wrapped it with the bandages to stop the bleeding. I unintentionally glared at the both of them for not caring about their injured friend.

"Very well, then, Lin. I'll let your boyfriend stay here, but we'll have to.. keep a close eye on him. Just for safe measures, is that alright, gentlemen?" Lin's longish hair stood up as his fists clenched.

"I-It's fine." Lin said after he took a long deep sigh. "How about you Puro?"

I realized everyone was staring at me. I got a little uncomfortable. "I'm just thankful that I have a place to stay, and to be with my love, thank you, Luigi."

Lin embraced me after I said that. I felt warm, but it didn't last.

"Colin, you are so strange. This is borderline bestiality shit here. Well, you were a furry after all. I'm not surprised that you're gay though." We both took a seat on the sofa, and Lin's face grew hot with embarrassment. Luigi laughed his ass off. That remark deeply damaged me inside, and I glared at Luigi. 

"He's actually more human than you think. He has more brains than the drunken assholes that lived next door from us, and us combined. Puro has been reading all his life, and his interest in humans is greater than anything. Part of me thinks he wants to be one of us." I became deeply offended. Though they didn't mean any harm by it, they made me feel as if they were mocking me. 

"He's right." I said, accidentally sounding more hurt than I meant to. They both replied with an uncomfortable laugh. I decided to tell them a bit about myself.

"I do not see the way you humans do. My eyes can only capture motion and light. So what I see is darkness with a light outline of the near surrounding objects, the rest is static. At first reading books was very difficult." I saw them look at me in interest.

"So you're legally blind! Sorry I had to." May barged in. 

"It's okay May. I am technically blind. I can still see." We laughed and talked for the rest of the afternoon. [AN: Enough of the unimportant dialog bullshit.]

I remembered something. Something from last night. I was unsure if it was a dream or not. But something rather odd happened to my vision.

"Sauci and I were sitting on the ridge looking over a collapsed city. We were talking about the nearly peaceful world almost six years ago. Then, his started to become strange. There was a dim light coming from his eyes. 'I would like to show you something.' He said, his voice bellowed almost unearthly. I felt his paw touch my head, then my sight changed."

I paused briefly, trying to find the words to describe the describe the sight I have witnessed. 

"Things were fuller, if I could describe the color red, I would be able to. But his eyes were almost the color of blood." Lin snuggled up to me, he put his head on my chest.

"Wow... Now you saw like what a human can see." Lin seemed like the only one who actually cared. May and Luigi were having a whispering discussion of their own. I felt gravely disrespected.

I almost lashed out.
