To my horror the stall's lock shakes as the person on the other side seemingly tries to open the door. ¨I-is someone in there?¨ They ask confused. They.. They is definitely the wrong pronoun.
¨..go away.¨ I mumble after letting out a shaky sigh.
¨Hey! Are you okay..?¨ He calls through the crack beside the stall's door, most likely with his face pressed closer like some idiot. I don't answer. ¨It's me, Link..¨ He reminds me as if he tries to reassure me.
¨Please,¨ He asks calmly and my eyes are fixated on his as they shift downward in a saddened manner, ¨you can trust me.. what happened?¨
¨Nothing..¨ I shake my head and slump down lower. I really don't want to talk to him. Or anybody, god why the fuck can I not be left alone today. ¨Look, I'll come out if it'll make you leave me fucking alone..¨ I comprise with the concerned dumbass. ¨Okay..¨ He smiles at me softly and it seems his mood improves.
Standing up I open the door and pull out my phone, ¨Well it's around 1:05 which means lunch should be.. now.. Wanna go with me?¨ I ask hoping he'll focus on lunch and less on all the questions I know he wants to ask me. ¨Totally!¨ he smiles and grabs my arm, ¨I'm starving let's hurry!¨
Before leaving I ruffly pull my arm out from his grasp and turn away. ¨Sorry..¨ I apologize awkwardly, ¨You shouldn't be seen too friendly with me here at school. Everyone kinda.. hates me..¨ I tell him truthfully and he looks at me confused. ¨Why would anyone hate you?¨
.. God he's fucking innocent..
I walked away after that, not bothering to answer. ¨Cafeteria's this way idiot, let's go!¨ I called while still walking. As soon as the sound of footsteps grows closer towards me I sigh.
