Emmas pov
I must've fallen asleep after that awkward conversation with my dad because I woke up at 3:30 AM with Grant on top of my face, I pick him up and move him to the other side of me, he didn't even wake up. I'm thirsty so I go downstairs, while I'm at the end of the steps I hear talking, I stop and listen,
"Michael, we're not making Emma move here because your worried about her." I hear my mom say
"But it's best for her, we're here."
"Yeah, but she's got Ethan in LA."
"What if he leaves her, she'll need someone there with her."
"Hannah's there, she's got friends there."
"Fine, we'll talk about this later." I hear footsteps so I run back to my room, they really want me to move here? No way. I face time Ethan.

Yay, I'm glad got answered. I have to talk to you about something.

Oh, okay. Gray's sleeping, do I need to leave the room?

No, it's fine. We're you sleeping?

No, what's going on?

Well, there's two things but they both involve my dad. So basically, my dad doesn't, well, how do I put this, he doesn't like us having sex.

I don't know, but because of that, he wants me to move back in with them.

I put my phone on the charger and try and get water again, this time, I didn't hear any talking, i walk into the kitchen and I don't see anyone, I fill up a water bottle and I hear a door opening, I hear talking now, I don't know this house so I can't make out where the door is opening, so I run and hide behind a wall,
"Michael, Ethan is not going to hurt Emma, he's a nice boy, if you were actually around in LA you would've know how great he his, he makes her happy. She won't get hurt like me." What does she mean? How would dad hurt her?
"It was one time, Pam, I said I was sorry, thats why we moved to Boston, to start over, I thought we were over it." I'm confused.
"Michael, that doesn't stop the fact that you cheated on me!" She yells, I had no idea they moved to Boston because he cheated on her I'm shocked.
"Be quiet, you could wake Emma up. I don't want her so know"  Well, too late for that.
"She won't, let's just go to bed."
"Okay." They're room was on the downstairs level, they had some offices and an in home theater in the basement, but upstairs I had all to myself, I had an editing room and a filming room up there, there's 2 other rooms,they're 2 guest bedrooms for my friends. I quietly walk back upstairs, I close my door, and as soon as I do I hear someone walking up the stairs, I hear my mom walk in, I close my eyes, I think she was just making sure I was asleep, i wish I was after I heard all that. I lay there till I fall asleep.
I wake up the next morning at noon, I get up and go to my bathroom, I wash my face, brush my teeth, put my hair in a bun and get dressed, I put on red jeans and a black t shirt, and white nike socks. I walk downstairs, expecting to see my mom or anyone. living with my parents that's what I've always seen, but no one was here, I walk around and see if anyone is here, no ones here except Grant, and when he see's me he jumps off the couch and starts jumping on me, he's tiny so I can just move my leg and he'll stop. I get hungry and I see there's a lot of food here, but when I'm walking past the kitchen island there's a note
Emma, I know your not used to us being gone when you wake up but your dad and I went to work, we'll be back at 7, love you! -mom
