12. Washing machine syndrome

Levi's POV

Ruby doesn't have her car so she rides on the back of my motorbike. Everyone else drives themselves. We arrive at the ice cream parlour at 4:45.

"Hey Nana, how are you today?" me, Jonas, Finlay, Nick and Adam all say at the same time.

"Hello boys, oh and girls. Who are these lucky ladies?" Nana Betty asks me.

"The tall beautiful red head is my girlfriend and the other one is my twin." I explain.

"Hello, I'm Ruby," Ruby introduces herself.

"You must be Teddy," Nana says, "please call me Nana or Nana Betty. I'm your Jonas' Nana." She turns back to us, "Escort these lovely ladies to a booth then, I'll be there soon to take your orders." We sit in the booth furthest in the shop, the one right at the back.

Finlay sits at the end of the table, I sit next to him with Ruby on my knee. Adam is sitting next to me and Ruby. On the other Finlay sits Hailey sitting on Jonas and next to them is Nick.

Nana comes over and takes our orders. "What do you want Jonas?"

"Cookie dough for Teddy and I please Nana. We can share." Jonas say politely.

Nana Betty nods at Nick. "Bubble gum flavoured please Nana."

"Cookies and cream please Nana." Adam orders.

"Candy floss please Nana." I grin, "Ruby and I can share."

"Gold rush is it Finlay? Why do I bother asking? Of course it is." Nana Betty says and walks away.

"Wow, she knows me so well, so who has a detention already for tomorrow?" Finlay asks. I put my hand up and he starts counting. "All of us. Well I got mine from Ms Foote for hitting on her, five times."

"Slapping you, pashing Jonas in math, not handing in my math homework and writing swear word on the board. And they're still trying to find out who punched you out cold." Hailey lists her reasons. I'm shocked, I haven't seen this side of her in a while.

"Kissing Levi in English." Ruby grins.

"Apparently I wasn't listening because I didn't answer when I was asked a question." Adam sighs.

"Making jokes in all my classes, English with Ruby, punching Colin in between classes and swearing at the principal." I say with a smirk.

"Many Reasons." Jonas smirks.

We all look at Nick who hasn't said anything yet, "What? Teachers just don't like me." He says

"Here you go lovelies." Nana says and places our ice creams on the table

Ruby slept in Haley's room last night. They shared Hailey's king bed. Jonas was sad he couldn't sleep with Hailey but he slept in the room next to hers.

"Hailey, Ruby is making pancakes, do you want some?" I ask walking into her room. Somethings, you don't want to see but can't unsee. Jonas is laying on top of Hailey, fully clothed might I add, and I swear there is washing machine syndrome happening there, "Dude you heard me coming yet you're still kissing my sister! Get off her and get your ass back downstairs."

Jonas gets up and walks away, "Party Pooper much Le, I don't interrupt you when you and Ruby are kissing."

"That's 'cause we don't do it around you." I retort.

"We weren't doing it around you. Haha doing it." Hailey giggles walking downstairs.

"Morning, how are you today?" I hear Ruby ask Hailey.

"To be honest Ruby, I feel like I was hit by a bus." She sits on the floor with a plate of pancakes. "Someone pass me the phone please."

"Why?" I ask handing her the phone.

"I can't be fucked going to school today, my head hurts." Hailey puts her head in her hands. "Hailey Miller won't be attending school today, she is bed ridden. Thank you, have a nice day." She puts on her best mum voice.

"Well if you're not going to school neither am I, I'll stay here and look after you." I say quietly.

"No Levi, Jonas can stay here with me, after all he is my boyfriend." Hailey replies.

"Yeah, I'll hang out with her, we can watch Megan Fox in transformers. Omg I should paint your nails and do your hair and give you a makeover." Jonas smirks.

"Let's just have a movie marathon. I have all six of the fast and furious movies, we can watch those." Hailey groans rubbing her head. "My head fucking hurts, somebody get me something to make it fucking stop!" she snaps.

I hand her pain killers and a glass of water. She gulps it down and cringes.

"Jonas, carry me upstairs please." Hailey asks. He nods and picks her up like she were a light as a feather. "Thank you."

"We should get going Levi." Ruby says rubbing my back. I know how Hailey is feeling, I can feel it just not as bad. Not nearly as bad. But I get those headaches. They're like death or hell with millions of demons jumping up and down at once.

"Okay, I'll just say goodbye to Hailey. I run upstairs leaving Ruby in the kitchen. Ruby has borrowed some of Hailey's clothes, a peach dress that stops a couple inches above her knee and peach wedges. "Hailey, I'm leaving now." I kiss Hailey on the forehead and run back downstairs.

"Are you ready now?" Ruby smiles at me.

"Yup," I say taking her hand in mine leading her to the garage. I hop on my motorbike and Ruby gets on too while the door opens. I drive down the long drive way and onto the street. We pass students that are walking to school.

We get to school and park next to Finlay and Adam's Motorbike and Nick's car. "Yo dude, where is the other happy couple?" Finlay asks. He has a blonde skank sitting on his knee, sucking on his neck.

"At home." I reply simply. Adam laughs and walks off.

"You ready for another round of detentions today Levi?" Nick asks me.

"Yeah," I roll my eyes, "let's go with that."
