"beomnamu!"
the boy froze, realizing he wasn't as cautious with his time, and had stayed at the coffee shop a bit longer than planned.
it was too late to sneak out, as yue had plopped down across from him.
"good morning," she smiled brightly, and beomgyu felt the slightest twitch at the corner of his lips.
he nodded, "good morning."
"oh!" yue suddenly remembered, bringing her back pack onto her lap. "i made you something last night."
she set the drawing on the table. it was a small cartoon of him and yue coming into the coffee shop, but their roles were reversed. it was him bothering her, and yue being cold towards him.
'don't be silly, i won't marry you!' yue's character said.
beomgyu's face showed no reaction, and yue frowned a bit. she thought for sure he'd at least smile, but she was proven wrong.
"ah, you're no fun," she tried to take it away, but he grabbed it.
"it's a present, isn't it?"
yue's eyes widened, as she tripped over her words, "i- i guess so."
he set the paper back in the center of the table and looked out the window again.
"can i show you something after school tomorrow?"
beomgyu looked at her, genuinely debating her question. what's the harm? i can just go and then go home straight after.
"fine."
yue jumped up, "ok! meet me outside the coffee shop at exactly 5:45 pm, okay? make sure to bring a jacket!"
beomgyu watched her excitedly leave the cafe, afterwards slowly bringing his eyes back down to the paper.
and just then, the tiniest trace of a smile graced his lips.
