"Are you insane?" I hissed at Sora who was staring at me with amused eyes.

I had taken Sora by the hand and shoved our way through the crowd who stared after us in bewilderment. Honestly, if that had been someone else, I would have been completely shocked and confused. I had led him towards the dance practice room and locked the door after him.

"What?" Sora said nonchalantly. "I just wanted to scare him."

I raised an eyebrow, hands on my hips. "What for?"

Sora blinked at me, his eyes beginning to distant as if something had just dawned on him. I couldn't help but sigh in frustration, knowing that I was wasting my lunch time with him. He blinked again as if it had brought him back to the real world. "Nothing."

And with that, he glanced at me one last time before pushing past me with his hands inside his pocket before exiting the dance room. I couldn't help but kicked the air after him, hoping it'd hit his head after he had closed the door behind him.

Inhaling a sharp breath, I shook my head and cursed at myself for getting involve in the situation. I should've just let it be. I was good at that and I was going to maintain that. Sighing, I placed the salad next to the speakers and plugged my phone to it, deciding that I needed to let my frustration go.

And dancing, it was.

Classes passed by in a blur and I hadn't noticed Sora around the school. What sport did he do anyways? As I walked out of the building to the main, front area, I found Sora taking off his tie viciously as if it was strangling him,

I quickly lunged for the tree nearby the second Sora turned around and if I had stayed in the same position seconds ago, he would've made a snarky comment. I wouldn't have that.

Sora then turned back around before slipping his hands into his pockets before sauntering down the road, his head down. I guessed he hadn't drove to school today.

"Miss Valentine!" a familiar voice called out from the street as I took a step out and frowned when I found Kai, the butler, standing there while waving.

I clenched my jaw and without any hesitation, I stormed to him and hissed, "it's Raelyn. How many times do I have to say it to you?"

Kai shrugged as if none of this fazed him. I didn't blame him, though. I've been trying to correct him since my mother married Adam and we had moved in. "Mrs. Valentine requests you home immediately."

I rubbed my temples. "I'm not taking the Rolls Royce. It's not necessary. I'm taking the bus."

Kai's brow raised. "Please, Miss Raelyn."

"Something wrong?" A voice that made me mentally slap myself asked as the heavy footsteps approached. I looked up to see Sora towering over me, a smirk playing on his lips before glancing over at Kai with a blank expression. "Hey, dude, what's up?"

Kai cleated his throat at the informality. "Mr Lockhart."

Sora placed an arm around me before slinging his backpack over his shoulder. "Luce, did you forget that you were going to accompany me to my practice?"

I bit my lip, knowing that Sora did this to save myself. How did he know that I didn't want to go with Kai? Was I being that obvious? "Sorry, must've slipped my mind." I gave an all too-sweet grin to Kai. "See you at the house."

Sora led me away, leaving a trail of multiple stares and murmurs as I cursed myself for not being care enough. I bit my lip as Sora and I rounded the corner before he retracted his hand back to his side. He exaggeratedly sighed before leaning against the brick wall. "It's like I've been saving your ass since I've met you. How is that even possible?"
