After my father had dropped me off, Sora was waiting for me in the living room, dressed in a black tank top that complimented his biceps beautifully and boxing shorts. He didn't turn his head when I closed the door behind me as I slowly walked towards him, concerned if he was still alive.

Just as I was about to say something, I flinched and squealed when Sora abruptly stood up and picked me up as he hugged me. He let out a sigh as he plopped down on the sofa again but this time, I was on top of him.

He pulled away and I couldn't help but blush as I masked my shock, unable to form words in my mouth at the sudden action. He frowned, tilting his head to the side as he tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear gently. Now, that was a weakness of mine. "What's wrong, Luce?"

I shrugged. "Nothing."

Sora made a face as he pulled me in closer. "Tell me."

I crinkled my nose.

Sora chuckled at my sudden action. "You're cute."

My stomach churned at the compliment, forcing me to blush furiously as I looked away from him. I didn't know how to do this. I didn't know how to be in a relationship with someone or act a certain way with someone who I loved.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Sora whispered, this time he was genuinely concerned as his hazel eyes searched my eyes for answers.

"I don't know how I'm supposed to act," I confessed quietly.

Sora smiled at my response. "As corny and cheesy as it might sound, just be yourself."

I frowned at him. "That was cheesy."

Sora rolled his eyes. "Now, tell me what else is on your mind."

I sighed. "My father said he's going to win the custody battle."

Sora blinked at me. "That's great, right?"

I shrugged. "I guess."

Sora tilted his head to the side. "You don't want that?"

I was beginning to get frustrated because I didn't know what I wanted. My mother still hadn't come and checked up on me and it seemed like my father -who disappeared when I was a little girl- came out of nowhere and cared about me more than she has. I unconsciously got off Sora's lap, leaving a cold touch where he had once been before pacing around the room. "I don't know what I want but what's so annoying is that the only thing I know that I'm so sure of is you." I froze in my steps, unable to comprehend what I had just unconsciously said as I gulped, slowly turning around to face Sora with wide eyes.

"Now, that is the most beautiful speech," Martha said out of the blue, causing Sora and I to jump in surprise. Martha walked out of the kitchen with a wide smile with hand baked cookies in her hands as she approached us with genuine happiness. "Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop but when I decided to tune in, I heard the last line and boy did I almost have a heart attack."

"Grandma," Sora groaned and I couldn't help but chuckle at the deja vu. Juls had once interrupted us and this time, it was Martha.

Martha smiled at me as she placed the cookies down on the table. "I saw your mother today at the grocery store. She looks happy and you didn't tell me she was pregnant!"

That was a blow to my stomach as I choked on my saliva. Sora, on the other hand, frowned as he made a move to stand beside me, concerned.

Martha's smile slowly ceased as she casted me a sad frown. "You should go and see her."

I was silent.

Martha sighed as she took my hands into hers and gave me a reassuring squeeze. "Just go and see her and if it doesn't work out, you can stay with us for as long as you want."
