As they made their way to the slightly crowded bar, Finn asked, "What do you want to drink baby?"

She shrugged. "I don't know, you're the one who drinks often, not me. I just want alcohol."

He nodded and ordered them drinks, making sure Millie's wasn't too strong. He didn't need her going home completely wasted or vomiting later. She took her drink from him and sat on a barstool, taking a sip. She coughed slightly as the alcohol hit the back of her throat. Millie couldn't help but shudder at the feeling of the burning liquor sliding down her throat.

"You okay?" he asked, taking a sip of his drink, running a hand through his curls.

Millie's nodded. "Yeah I'm fine. The first sip just burns." And with that, she took another sip, only coughing slightly.

He nodded and downed his drink, starting to have a difficult time keeping his eyes off of the girl next to him. Finn ordered them both another round of drinks, watching as Millie quickly downed her first drink to start drinking her second.

Finn grinned, keeping his eyes on the girl next to him. "You want to go dance princess?"

Millie didn't even hesitate, pinching the bridge of her nose and downing her drink. "Sure let's go Finnie."

"Finnie, seriously?" he asked, standing up. "I hate that nickname."

She simply shrugged and set her glass down, making her way to the dance floor. He followed her and made sure not to make her uncomfortable. But, the alcohol had begun to affect them both and Finn slowly placed a hand on her waist, pulling her a little closer.

She giggled at his actions, taking a close look at his features, almost as if she was trying to imprint his image into her mind. He smiled and quickly spun her, her hands landing on his chest. Her eyes locked with his for a moment before Millie pulled back slightly, taking her hands off of his chest.

Millie shook her head slightly, finding it harder to take her eyes off of him. Her throat burned slightly as she danced, a smile playing on her lips. She mentally asked herself why she had agree to this night, why she had agreed to go out with him to a nightclub. She had lied to her parents and friends and was doing illegal things without them knowing.

And to Millie, it felt so good.

Finn grinned and pulled her a little closer, taking in her features. He began to notice how soft and light her eyes were and how her hair always fell in a perfect part. He noticed the beautiful smile that played on her lips and the way the coloured lights reflected off of her dark eyes.

Finn couldn't get her off of his mind, and that was scaring him slightly. Attachment was hard when someone like Finn had to leave so often, even if she was only a friend.

Slowly he pulled her close, close enough that he could comfortably wrap his arms around her waist. Her eyes locked with his again as she slowly placed a hand on his chest, able to feel the rapid beating of his heart. But Millie was surprisingly comfortable, the alcohol effecting her mind, simply enjoying her time with him.

"Hey Finn, I'm gonna go get a drink, I need one," she shouted over the music, an amused smile on her face. "I'll get you one too."

Finn nodded and released his hold on her, watching as she walked off, quickly wondering if she would be okay alone. He shook his head free of thoughts about the moment he thought they had just shared before talking to other people he knew around him.

Millie shook her head clear of her thoughts and walked to the bar, ordering herself and Finn drinks. She gasped and jumped slightly at the feeling of an arm wrap around her waist.

"Hey beautiful," the stranger said. "You alone?"

"No I'm not, I'm here with someone," she replied bravely. "So leave me alone."

The stranger turned her around. "The name is Romeo, Romeo Beckham. And I think you can be my Juliet." He smirked, the scent of alcohol lingering around him.

"Yeah I'm good, no thanks," she sighed, trying to step away from him.

The problem between Millie and Romeo was soon noticed by a guy named Asher Angel, who immediately got up and made his way over to them. "Beckham, leave the girl alone. A hot girl like her is taken."

"And why should I leave Wolfhard's girl alone, Angel?" Romeo asked, a drunken grin plastered on his face. "This is a little payback, that's all." He pressed a kiss to Millie's cheek. "And like you said, she is fucking hot."

Asher glanced over at his friend, William Miller who was watching the situation closely. He gestured for Will to get Finn, leaving his eyes on Romeo the entire time. "Because Holder and Hall will kick us out if something happens and I actually want to enjoy this night with my friends and I don't want your blood on my clothes right now," Asher said, stepping in front of Millie. "So I recommend you leave the girl alone."

"Or what?" Romeo asked bravely. He pushed Asher back slightly, a smirk plastered on his face.

"Or I'll beat the shit out of you," Finn said coldly, now standing directly behind Romeo,

Romeo laughed dryly and turned around. "Hey Wolfhard, what's up?"

"Get away from my girl, Beckham," Finn threatened, "or I won't hesitate to beat your face into the concrete."

Will gently took Millie's wrist. "Come on darling, thing are going to get pretty ugly," he said kindly, gently pulling Millie up the steps and backstage, Asher following.

"Can I at least have my drink?" Millie pouted playfully.

"I got it," Asher said, returning with Millie's drink in hand. "I'm Asher by the way, and that's Will."

"I'm Millie," she said, sipping her drink. "Thanks for helping me."

"No need to thank us." Will smiled, taking a seat on the stage floor.

A moment later, Finn walked backstage, his knuckles bright red and bruising, a drink in hand. "You okay princess? He didn't do anything to you, did he?"

"Yeah I'm okay and he didn't." She nodded. "Will and Asher stopped him before he could."

"Well I took care of him so he's gone." His eyes locked with her, his eyes slowly softening. "Please don't leave baby girl, I didn't mean for this to happen," he pleaded honestly, the alcohol changing his personality slightly.

"I know Finn, and I'm not leaving. I'm having fun with you." She smiled, sipping her drink. She knew she could easily say she wanted to leave and get away from him, but deep down, she knew she didn't want to.

Finn smiled "I told you I would keep you safe. Now let's enjoy the rest of our night here," he raised his pinkie finger towards her, "It'll be fun, promise."

Millie nodded and locked her pinkie with his, giggling and downing her drink. She wouldn't want to admit it, but she was enjoying hanging out with Finn Wolfhard; maybe she was wrong about him being arrogant and annoying. He seemed to care. He seemed nice. He seemed to want to be friends with her.

He wouldn't want to admit it either, but he enjoyed Millie's company. He enjoyed taking with her. She seemed fun. She seemed reckless. She seemed to want to be friends with him.

But Millie knew there was a dangerous, reckless side to him that she couldn't help but kind of like.

'I swear you're giving me a heart attack, troublemaker'
