You walked in and you saw Markus with North, Simon, and Josh up ahead. They were all talking casually and they seemed relaxed. You saw Markus give North a peck on the cheek and you recalled that the two were dating. You had pushed it aside for a while. It wasn't exactly relevant at that moment either though.

You all approached them and they greeted the others. They hadn't noticed you yet. Simon saw you first. He looked like he'd seen a ghost.

"M-Markus...i-it's..." Markus looked toward you and his eyes widened as well.

"(Y/n)? But...how? How did this happen?" He asked.

"Kamski," Connor replied. Markus looked slightly frustrated by that.

"I should've known he was going to do something."

"It's not your fault. Nobody knew about this." Hank replied.

"It's nice to see each of you again." You told them. They all gave you weird and confused looks.

"One of the side effects was the way she acts. He restored her memories, but...it didn't work how he had planned." Hank explained. You honestly were a little uncomfortable with the topic, but you forced yourself to push it aside.

"Well, it's great to see you again (Y/n). We all missed you very much." Markus said. You nodded.

"Thank you, Markus. I'm sorry that my absence was unpleasant for you all."

"All that matters is that you're alive and well. We're glad to have you back and we're glad to call you one of us." Markus said. You nodded thankfully to him.

"And just like that, she's an official android," Gavin muttered. Hank bumped him and Gavin gave him a glare but said nothing more. You ignored his comment, but there was a voice in your head that came out of nowhere. "You aren't human anymore. You aren't NORMAL." You felt a small sting in your chest, but you forced yourself not to show it.

"I'm glad to be a part of it." You told him. "But you were never supposed to fit in like that." You tried not to listen to what it said. What I am and where I belong in already certain. I am an officer and my job is to serve. I have no other callings and I don't need to have anything else there. You told yourself.

"Well, how about we get you in our system then." Josh offered. You nodded.

"I think that would be of everyone's best interest."

"Follow us." Simon offered and you gladly went with them.

"No thanks, I'll look around instead," Gavin said.

"As you wish, Detective." You replied and walked after the others with Connor and Hank behind you.

Gavin's POV

They all walked off and I went to go look around. I didn't know the place too well. As I walked around, I realized Collin had stayed with me. I ignored him, still not wanting to have anything to do with him. We both stayed silent and Collin just kept following me as we looked around. I paused as I saw some of the artwork Markus had done hanging up on the walls on the upper levels. I stopped at one that I thought looked kinda cool. Collin was next to me. We said nothing for a long time.

"....Detective?" I turned to him, still glaring at him slightly. He saw my expression and looked away. "Nevermind." I rolled my eyes.

"How about you stop following me around like a lost dog?" I snapped and left him there. As I said that to him, I felt a sting, but I forced myself to ignore it and push past it. As I walked away, I felt my shoulders sag. "Why are you doing this?" I shook my head, getting rid of the stupid second voice that was always there. I don't have to feel sorry for shit! He threatened ME! I can trust him, he says. Tch, yeah. Trust that plastic prick my ass. I kept walking and I didn't realize I had no idea where I was going. I wasn't even paying attention. I suddenly smacked into someone. We fell over and I hit my head. "OW! Fuck!"
